Demichelis Awarded Equaliser

Under the UEFA scenario, this couldn't have happened. If Otamendi had not scored, the referee would have awarded the goal to Demichelis. They are saying the goal line official communicated the goal to the referee, so it was a matter of time before he stopped the game to award the goal. Circumstances overtook this.

...meanwhile, back in the real world, do you think this ( ^^^ ) would have been the outcome if Otamendi's shot had been deflected wide instead of into the bottom corner?
 
The ref had plenty of time to blow for the goal and i believe no-way would they have awarded it to us at the end if it had been a draw as that would have given everyone license to ask for points every time a mistake was made in future

No, I don't believe a word of UEFA's statement, but the scenario I was replying to was impossible.
