Demichelis Awarded Equaliser

In the still image I saw of the moment the ball crossed the line, the fifth official (or whatever he's called) wasn't even looking across the line, he was looking into the penalty area. Pretty staggering really, considering that's his one and only job!

Yeap !!! He was not watching !!! Then he made 3 steps closer to the post indicating nothing

It's a goal !!!!!!!

2 days too late?

reported my ass, there's no way goal would be awarded to us if Otamendi didn't score.

So Otamendi's shot balloons over the bar, match finishes 1-1 and we are all pissed off again and also raging about the ineptitude of the officiating. But lo and behold, good old UEFA come to our rescue and confirm that as the ball was clearly over the line (by 3 fooking foot!!) the result will be changed to a 2-1 victory for our mighty Blues.... Hurrah for EUFA is the cry from the City faithful!!

Like that would ever happen in a month of fooking Sundays, the deluded corrupt set of twats!!!

OK then if the game ended 1.1 a very bad result for the manager and next morning he gets the sack what would uefa do GIVE MANCHESTER CITY THE 3 POINTS NOPE

Under the UEFA scenario, this couldn't have happened. If Otamendi had not scored, the referee would have awarded the goal to Demichelis. They are saying the goal line official communicated the goal to the referee, so it was a matter of time before he stopped the game to award the goal. Circumstances overtook this.

...meanwhile, back in the real world, do you think this ( ^^^ ) would have been the outcome if Otamendi's shot had been deflected wide instead of into the bottom corner?

The ref had plenty of time to blow for the goal and i believe no-way would they have awarded it to us at the end if it had been a draw as that would have given everyone license to ask for points every time a mistake was made in future

Martin Demichelis awarded Manchester City goal against Borussia Monchengladbach
  • Martin Demichelis header was not awarded despite crossing the line
  • The centre back's effort was cleared by Monchengladbach's Julian Korb
  • Manchester City scored immediately as Nicolas Otamendi netted rebound
  • However, Demichelis has now been awarded the goal after UEFA listened back to the officials' conversation as the ball crossed the line
