Demichelis Awarded Equaliser

Fuck you lot, UEFA are one of the most credible organisations out there so I fully believe them! #TeamUefa

Just a pathetic attempt at covering up their ineptitude and to try and stop an outcry for goal line technology, for some unknown reason!

At least Demichelis gets the goal he deserves and De Bruyne the assist he deserves. Think positive!

Football governing body in telling lies shocker! Bunch of bent cunts the lot of them. I wouldn't normally advocate genocide, but I'd certainly make an exception for "Football Politicians".

The video of the fist goal on Google 365 and also in the one posted on here by Blackcowes shows that the referee does not signal a goal after MDM's effort crosses the line, he does not point to the centre circle and carries on watching play until Ottos shot enters the net when he immediately signals goal and points to the centre circle. The guy on the line carries on staring along the line after MDM's shot and makes no signal whatsoever.
UEFA are clearly telling porkies here. Really is a piss poor attempt at a cover up to protect themselves for not having goal line technology.
If Ottos shot had not gone in would they a day later have changed the score from 1-1 to 1-2? Obviously not.

The point here is that are prepared to use an audio recording but not real time goal line technology. Very strange stance for such a governing body to take.
Have they set a precedent for future appeals on goals scored or big decisions like sending off. What did the officials say at the time lets see the evidence

This is the correct answer, fuck UEFA

I wonder why Sky and the rest of the media do not bother to look at videos of the goal, which clearly show UEFA are incorrect/lying.

Uefa& Fifa are doing every thing they can to prevent video and goal line tech to be established fundamentally because this would be the dawn of their power or influence on games results.
Just think about it : referees will have a hard time awarding offside-goals or disallowing valid goals, giving unfair redcards, when the video would rule out any fishy decision they make.
This would be the death of their grip on games fate.

FIFA adopted it in the end after 2010, UEFA refused to preferring extra officials - UEFA boss then runs for FIFA president and this happens. All unrelated with no spin doctoring at all.

Martin Demichelis has been awarded Manchester City's first goal in their win over Borussia Monchengladbach.

The goal was initially put down as a Andreas Christensen own goal after he deflected in Nicolas Otamendi's effort, a rebound after Demichelis' initial shot was hacked out by a defender.

But UEFA representatives have since listened to a recording of the communication between match referee Clement Turpin and an additional assistant official, and the goal is now a first of the season for Demichelis.

A UEFA statement read: "The referee immediately reported that the goal should have been awarded to Martin Demichelis for his initial attempt on goal - and that the additional assistant referee had clearly indicated the ball had crossed the line after that shot.

"As it was too late to correct the identity of the scorer at that time, the audio recordings were reviewed this morning and confirmed the statement of the referee regarding the attribution of the goal to Demichelis. UEFA hereby confirms that decision."

Demichelis' goal levelled the Champions League game at 1-1 before Sergio Aguero's late penalty won it for City.

Hmm...

This is pure back tracking because we won. If we had lost or drawn that game, there wouldn't even be a whisper from them. Rotten to the core.

Maybe its just me being paranoid as fuck but I think it was a blatant attempt to reduce our chances of qualifying for the knock out stages. We've had some seriously dubious decisions and was just another to add to the ongoing list. I don't think we're too well liked at UEFA.

I agree we are not liked at UEFA. Our booing of the CL music is an ongoing reminder of the bad relationship between UEFA and ourselves. If there are marginal calls I expect they will mostly go against us.

The signal for the official giving a "ball crossed the line" was clearly demonstrated in the Arsenal game on Tuesday. There is no way that goal was being signalled.

When you're in a hole you should stop digging. However UEFA are hopefully going to get themselves in big trouble with this fraudulent attempt to justify extra officials over video technology.

The Americans and Swiss investigating Blatter and Platini should look into this and expose it for the corrupt cover up that it is.

Exactly and if you watch the video Dinho, Kun and MDM are all clearly still appealing right up to the point Otamendi's shot hits the back of the net. If the official had give any sound or signal that it was a goal they'd have stopped appealing and started celebrating.

If we qualify for the CL do we have to actually play in the competition or can we decline the invitation. I know financially this would leave a big hole and players still want to play in these games but FFS enough is enough. I have said for years the game is corrupt and now people are beginning to see it for what it is. There is too much money at stake for corruption not to occur.

pffff flippin heck, this is a bit 'backtracky' isnt it. ah well, well done demi.
