Demichelis, Lescott or Nasty?

Against a more attacking opponent, Nasty. Surprised so many people doubting Nasty tbh. Last season he had a better season than Vinnie (who were under par).

This all day! This forum is bonkers at times and nasty at times played defence on his own and bailed vinny out constantly last season! Now all of a sudden he's not good enough? FFS

Nastasic the boys class. I think alot of bluemooners don't rate him that highly because he doesn't slide it like Vinnie that often etc... But that's only because he reads the game so well. Scary how good the lad could get.

Lescott Is ok against poorer teams but when he's up against a Suarez etc... He gives me the shits.

Anyone who can't see the difference in our forward play with MD, especially, but also Matija compared to Joleon is bonkers.

Agree totally. How anyone thinks Jolene is on the same level is beyond me completely. I try not to insult other posters these days (on our sites anyway) but bonkers is about the right word. I can only imagine they see him kick a ball away (whoopee)and ignore 80 minutes of his play.

Nastasic can use this season to learn how to pass from MD and how to defend from lescott and become a better player for it


Nastasic is the future for the club, weather it will be 1st choice or as backup, the other 2 have one or 2 years max.

Still think we will sign a worldy in the summer, worldy and kompany as 1st choice CB's

I'd go with Nastasic here, not because i think he is much better than the other two at the moment, but he is youngest by far and has the biggest potential.

Between Demichellis and Lescot, i'm not sure - Demichellis is better on the ball but i kind of think that Lescot is better at just simply defending...

I could add here that it is quite obvious that Pellegrini rates Demichellis much more than Lescott, but i'm not so sure who is his preffered option to partner Kompany between Nastasic and Demichellis...

I would be surprised if Nastasic played two games in quick succession. He'll get the Blackburn game. Not sure how fit Demichelis is after his injury. Would probably go for Lescott for this game, he hasn't been overworked or injured.

We'll never get VK to come out and tell us his preference but I've noticed that he has tended to sweep up a bit above and beyond his allotted spot on the pitch. Noticed it again when he encroached into Nasty's patch to clear. Just wonder who he would pick to have alongside him.

If you want reasonably solid defence then it's Joleoninho; if yer want a bit of football and link up play then it's Demichelis; if yer want probably the best mix of the two I'd say Nasty. Same old tale: yer pay yer Sheikh's ransom and yer takes yer pick!

Personally I think the only one who is even good enough is Nasty. Lescott is on the wane and unless he plays every game he looks like he struggles to me, seems to need to play every game to find any form. Demichelis for me is clearly the worst. It's arguably the easiest defence to play in in the league and he makes it look difficult. If we had signed our main targets in summer there's no way we would have even considered him.

Have to say you have a good point Nastasic is a superb player, and if some don't think he is any good thats their opinion, i don't agree with it, but for me he will become one of the best centre backs at the club, as for the others Demichelis as got to get used to playing in our league, Lescott and Kompany have won the league with us so they know each other, but for the future Nastasic will be our number one in time.
