Democrat US Presidential Nominations

The thing I don’t get with the States, your taxes are actually higher than the UK, even when NI contributions are included.

How is it that you don’t have a free national health service? Is it because it’s all spent on defence or what?

An annual $610 billion reasons right there!

For context - China was the next largest military spender last year at $240bn. Then Saudi Arabia...

We only need Hillary in and then the 3 main contenders are back for a rematch - its mirrors boxing after the Fury announcement yesterday I bet they would each be signed to a different PPV channel
He plays straight into Trump's Dems want socialism narrative. He'll happy give him a kicking as his launch message stated. I do like that he wont pussyfoot around when the debates begin. As for Hillary, I reckon she's gagging to run again and just waiting to see how the field pand out.

Working class in America is a completely different animal, no?

If you're earning $100k plus a year you are Working Class?

If so, what's the Middle Class?
The "Middle Class" is, I suppose, wide open to various definitions.

But earning 100K/yr in the US - well, you're way above average for sure - but are you rich? Not by a long shot.

My gradient...

Poverty (needs government subsidy just to live) - Poor (barely able to make ends meet - working multiple jobs for >> 40 hrs a week) - Middle class (not poor but must work full time to get by - may be able to afford some luxuries) - Rich (able to afford luxury items with ease; probably works 40 hours/week to support this lifestyle - not financially stressed - can easily afford to maintain lifestyle if out of work for a year or three - able to indulge in some expensive items - very expesive car/house) - The 1% (very rich, free of financial concern for living expenses/luxuries - might well be able to immediately retire).
