Galatasaray are in Pot 3 of the Champions League so if Denayer joins them, he can look forward to high-level European football.

And adding a few more medals to his collection. It is harsh how we treated the player by initially promising a crack at the first team but Otamendi will consistently push both Kompany and Mangala to higher levels.

Awful move if true, why send him to Turkey? Poor standard only a few decent sides. Still no way to judge if he is at our level wish he had if stay in England and played for a team that will put him under a bit of pressure. Sunderland would have been perfect, good experience playing teams at our level and experience in playing in vital games.

Seems like a strange place to go but at least he won’t want to stay there! I would have preferred a move to a PL club but the most important thing is 1, he plays every week and 2, he plays at a decent level. A PL club would not be able to guarantee him playing time whereas maybe there is some sort of commitment re playing time with this move.
PS – if they draw us in a group I assume that’s 2 CL games he would not be able to be involved with?
