Denis Law diagnosed with Alzheimers and vascular dementia

My first ever City game was Denis's return to Maine Road in August 1973 when he scored a brace vs Birmingham City. Very sad news but wish him all the best.

Awful news. My late uncle was a good friend of his. He loves both City and United.

Really sad news. My own Dad is in the later stages of dementia, it's an awful disease.

My mum passed a couple of months ago with vascular dementia. At the end she was as peaceful as I have seen her in years and it was a welcome release to her suffering. Best wishes to you and your Dad mate. I wish that in the near future we find something that will combat it.

Very sad news. Sorry about your Dad Ric, having seen how it can affect families it is a truly heart breaking illness.
My son in law's Mum and Dad both had it and one of my daughter in law's her Dad has just been diagnosed and the other daughter in law her Mum is suffering from it plus MS as well. Life is a you know what sometimes.
Hope you don't mind me giving you and your Dad and your family a virtual *hug* Ric? :-( :-)

Good luck to Dennis Law as well. I've met him a couple of times with my ex-husband and he has a good sense of humour and just loves football.

Yep. Mum had dementia for her last couple of years. Heartbreaking when your own parent doesn't recognise you any more.
