ive never got that zabba, ferny should get roles after they retire, we want the best coaches, zabba and fern may not be the best coaches, people are showing too much sentiment , same as vinny, i love all 3 players, zabba my all time favourite , but they have to show they are of the quality that we need .

100% they need to have the coaching quality, that is essential and has to be the bottom line. But their passion and enthusiasm for the club must also count for something, and has to give them an edge/advantage.

I think any young local kid/supporter in the academy wil also respond better towards a top former player.
Whilst I'm not disagreeing with the general thrust of your comments, often psychology plays a huge role too, having ex players with that winning, never say die mentality can bring out the best in players too, just ask Peter Barnes what made him pull his finger out when he wasn't performing more than anything else, he'll likely tell you it was the thought of having to face Mike Doyle in the tunnel or changing rooms at some point.

It was no coincidence either that Vinnie was still around the team on match day despite being injured, his presence and mindset were invaluable.

Never heard of him, is he any good? As good as prime Fernandinho or Kante? Is he fast?

The injuries are a big concern but stylistically he's one of the closest to Fernandinho. Saul would have been ideal but ridiculously hard to get. Heard a lot of good about Bennacer but his height is concerning. I know Fernandinho isn't the tallest but what a difficult player to replace.
