They were excellent and very entertaining. They should have won more. Maybe they would have done if Skip had been left in charge.
It took us over 40 years but we got our revenge on the dippers pipping us by a point to the league.

It’s funny because like you I loved watching that team but we were pipped in 76-77 in part because of the daft oh vs dippers but also because there were so many 0-0 draws at home, I can remember at least 3 or 4.

Met him on a Junior Blues tour, I stayed behind to talk to him while the guided party went elsewhere.

In the days before mobiles I held the LC with him in the boardroom.

Gutted isn't the word when he left us, IIRC his last game was a third replay at the swamp v Luton also in the LC, which I watched from the Stretford End.
