I honestly thought he was finished at the end of last season when they avoided relegation with almost the last kick of the game, but no - there he is still, in the dugout: looking bewildered and perplexed by what his players are doing on the pitch, like he had nothing whatsoever to do with whatever their instructions and tactics are. A permanent frown on his grotesquely round face as he tries desperately hard to look like he knows what he is doing, but failing miserably.

The man is a fucking train wreck of a human being.

Various allegations of financial mismanagement and real "shadow" owners.

A couple of fans I know talk about it and have become concerned their club is becoming a retirement home for shreks mates.

The responsibility for the demise of DCFC is not for Rooney to burden.
The club has been owned by a string of dodgy local businessmen, each stripping the club of its resources and assets.
The club is now in a position of no return, will be relegated , suffer points deductions, dodgy takeovers and total demise.
What a great pity for a club with a large fanbase and premier league potential.

You’re right. But employing someone like Shrek has merely accelerated their downward spiral. They should have at least gone for someone with a bit of experience: I think any of the hoofball specialists could have got them mid-table respectability, at least. This would have given them a bit of leeway and a chance to sort themselves out. But even towards the end of last season, when you could clearly see how far out of his depth Shrek was, the club failed to replace him and subsequently they are under immense pressure again.

I don’t particularly care about Derby one way or the other, but the way their loyal supporters have been treated is disgraceful. Add to this the fact that Shrek managed to walk into the job without any prior experience and it’s another slap in the face of the fans.
 
Didn’t help when their captain and a few teammates went on the piss, crashed their car and fucked off.
Remember their chairman being a regular interviewee on talkSHITE as though he was somehow a respected businessman etc. That station is a very poor judge of character!
