Derby post match thread 10/09/2016

I'm torn between hilarity and irritation by the completely one-sided nature of the media's portrayal of this game. The City domination of the game seems to have been consigned to a footnote in most of the reports that I have read, and all the waffle is about Bravo and refereeing mistakes and Mourinho and Manure short-comings.

Has anyone found a report in any of Sunday's papers that even mentions the foul on Otamendi right on the goal-line?

MOTD, as usual, seemed to want to make sure the highlights were even - showing almost nothing of the first half masterclass, and managing to dig out all the rags' chances, then highlighting their penalty appeals but completely ignoring our complete stonewaller and the general thuggery of Rooney and felaini.

Having said that about MOTD, I have to ask who is responsible for the match highlights on the City website? I think the highlights on our own club's webiste may have showed even less of the 1st half than the BBC did. WTF is that all about? I don't watch match highlights on the City website to see all of the Rags chances, when there is so much to highlight of our own brilliance. Fine, I can accept showing the oppositions goals, but that's it, thanks very much; I don't need to say any of the other chances they made, especially when it's them, and especially when you could easily find 20 minutes of sheer brilliance from Saturday's game without a rag player even touching the ball

Bleedin hell only had two training sessions, give the bloke a chance, no doubt by end of season he will have golden gloves award and will not have contributed to any lost points for the team.

The Bravo/Hart situation plays perfectly into the subtle racist narrative that runs through a large section of the media when reporting on us. England's keeper has to run to Italy because city have bought another johnny foreigner. Pathetic.

This is the same media who have slated joe and called for him to be dropped from the England squad and as soon as we decide to make a change they use him as a stick to beat us with. Cunts had nothing good to say about joe last season

Soz if this has already been posted, but what a balanced and well written article in the media about how good we were on Saturday, and how shit the Rags were:

Yes! This is exactly what I have been saying the last few days! It is classic retort from Pep and is documented in the book Pep Confidential. He calculated the possible progress of the 2nd half and made very effective changes. Result?

1. they resorted to play 1-2 with the sky (sounds familiar? moyes?)
2. they didn't have a single shot on target (sounds familiar? van gaal?)

By making the changes, pep effectively made them look like yesteryear. It's not pretty Pep football, but it's hard to look pretty when the opposing team is playing ugly high balls where it's headers galore.

The sad fuckers just can't let the Bravo tackle go can they. Nearly 400 posts on Ragcafe.

Just a thought, regarding the Aguero ban. Am i right in saying the rules have changed now to allow the FA to bring retrospective action in the case of dangerous play even if the referee see's it?

If so given the way pundits and fans keep saying that it was dangerous play then why have the FA not charged Bravo?

Because there was nothing wrong with it. It looked worse because Rooney shit himself and bottled out of the challenge, if he had gone with his feet he may have got there.

Just watching the match again ( 20 times and counting..) and on 50mins big nose gives otamendi a forearm smash from behind, just before he trips him up and gets a yellow. If you slow it down you see him clench his fist and goes right through the back of Nico. Any gif wizards on here fancy doing the slow motion thing of the incident? He definitely catches him with a flailing arm.
