You've obviously only had a membership for the past 2 years then!

citycard's; as they used to be called, were £20/£25.

Citycard's were a different thing altogether than access cards or blue membership cards and yes Citycard's were £25 but I never had one of those only had the access card, so no I haven't only had membership for 2 years, started going in the mid 70's mate.

OK, but it was my understanding that the Blue Membership was the new name for a citycard essentially?

Not sure why the club introduced this MTP idea; should of just charged £20/£25 and everyone would have the same 'priority'.

It probably is the new name for Citycard, it was because the guy called it a blue card that I thought he was talking about paying £20/£25 for blue membership, didn't realise he was talking about the old Citycards.

Anyway I think we are probably getting off topic, my original point was that I don't see the need for the club to charge for a ticket priority system at all, most games you can get tickets on general sale, for high demand games I don't see why they can't just prioritise the ticket sales based on loyalty points.

You are right most games go to general sale, I have MTP because it gives me first choice to get 2 seats together in a better position. Only 2 games last season had a loyalty points criteria , the derby and QPR. I as there are more MTP holders than tickets available, points are the only way to be fair to loyal fans when games are going to be oversubscribed. Otherwise tickets would go to whoever could get through to book tickets first.

Yes points are the only way to handle oversubscribed games. I'll be interested to see if they continue with MTP after the stadium expansion, at the moment MTP comes in handy for you, but with more seats I would imagine your chances of getting 2 together, where you want them are increased, so I'm guessing you would be less inclined to buy MTP then?

Just tried to buy on viagogo using my blue with 880 pts and my sons kicks membership - age 9 250 pts - rejects me - so even to buy with kicks needs the qualifying points - crazy

Before match day priority came along it was £20/25 for a blue card and a quid for an access card

So to be honest..aside from paying a tenner for what is essentially an access card..the other has barely changed price wise and does the same thing essentially

I don't ever remember paying £20/£25 just for the the blue membership card, I've only ever paid £10 just for the card and £25 if you want the £15 MTP add-on.

Pretty sure Citycards were £30 with £5 off the first 6 games of that season you went to?

or £25 and 5 games?

Purchase both tickets on your membership.

Can A gold season ticket holder purchase more tickets on behalf of a blue ticket holder with MTP but not enough points on viaNOgogo?
