I agree, apart from the Office which had its moments I don't find him funny at all, more desperate to be funny.

I suspect it was originally conceived as a blatent piss take on the old and unfortunate and the moral crusade bit was a added extra to get it past the pilot show. I think it could have some potential and its very rare I can honestly say that after 1 show. I think a laughed at least twice, which is not bad!

Completely disagree that its a snide poke at the vunerable. Watch the making of it, think you will see its not gervais's intention at all.
I thought it was ok, the potential is there but not with rickys charater. David Earl as Kev stole though show for me, i think he is brilliant in pretty much everything he has done. thought pilkington was very good as well

Gervais is too intelligent of a comedian to just out-of-the-blue just make a big "lets point at laugh at the old". I don't buy that for one minute.
I happen to think Gervais is a very talented person, I like a lot of his films and TV programs like The Extra's and The Office, but this program was just useless. Didn't find it compelling, funny or anything.
I'll probably watch a few more to give it a bit more of a chance, but I won't stick with it long if they're all like yesterdays

I noticed it was on the planner on the Sky+ this morning as I put MOTD on, I'll give it a look later as the Mrs must have saved it, personally not a fan of Gervais.
