I just get the impression that Di Maria could just be too lightweight for the prem, too much of a diver.

And what of the uneducated opinions of scouts from us, United, Chelsea, and several top Spanish and Italian clubs who are all considering bids of 20+ million for him?
I don't watch the Portuguese league but having seen di Maria in the Europa League and for Argentina, he is one of the best left wingers in the world and his passing is a level above anyone we have. He tore Everton to shreds (single-handedly in the 1st leg, even our eleven couldn't deal with them!) and Liverpool struggled against him today - two of the top eight English teams.

to be fair most people are going off the reports linking him with every top side going and have watched the game tonight and can see why.
surely looking dangerous against a usually champions league side (at this stage) is a good indicator, but i appreciate the fact you could have seen him alot more
all about opinions and i'm saying my one game basis for saying he's quality is right! i said it with samaras i'll say it again :D
