It was actually a good bit of journalism from the JC, exposing how Abbott had in fact sent the letter to the Observer twice - without any amendment being made - and from an email account that only she could access.

I think people are tired of this type of touchy nonsense.

And it wasn't just Gibb involved either, John Ware and John Woodcock who have been vocal in spreading claims later revealed to be untrue, were also involved in the consortium.

And none of those people are Jewish and seem to lack a cultural connection for forming a consortium to own a Jewish newspaper.

I forget whether it was an opinion piece or a leader column but the other week the JC basically accused the Board of Deputies of being a left wing cabal after they offered up a mild rebuke of the Israeli regime.

Tells you all you need to know as to what they are as a publication. They can hardly be breaking even with the amount they shell out in damages :)
