Congratulations, a vigorous defence of nihilism that will be applauded by all the other degenerates on here.

Well, silly beliefs, of not drawing a picture of someone, is one of the best advertisements for nihilism I can think of. lol

Seriously though, shouldn't you be pushing over gravestones or spraying graffiti on war memorials?

Ah, yes, because I am having a laugh, at a silly belief, it means I am unpatriotic and hate the troops.

You're a great thinker......

and a bad WUM.

It's Easter Elanjo, how about popping out to spread your excrement on a few altars.
Invite the celebrants to share your purposeless, intolerant, immoral and empty void.

Expound the virtues of selfishness and abuse those attempting to live a religious life. Even better, why don't you burn a few churches or mosques or synagogues - and better still - with the worshippers inside?

God help you.
Who?

It's Palm Sunday Elanjo, the beginning of Holy Week.(courtesy peedubya) How about popping out to spread your excrement on a few altars.

Which one?
There has been more "Gods" than Muslim Suicide Bomber Instructors...

PS. If calling me a "murderous Godless heathen" is the best you can do then I think you need to pray, to your God, for direction, if not a brain.

Enjoy your choccy eggs, even if it isn't easter yet.

Seriously how the fuck people are stupid enough to dedicate or at least let their lives be heavily influenced by shit that has little or no proof and what I personally would describe as absolutely fucking ridiculous is way beyond me. You can include god, allah, vishnu and any other made up piece of shit with that as well

I reckon in 100s of years as science develops further we will have most if not all the answers and people will look back and laugh at the absolutely pathetic ideas so many people have on religion. They will wonder how fucking stupid so many people were and what the fuck they were doing killing each other over blatant fictional bullshit.

People used to believe the world was flat and you'd fall off the end but we now know that is laughable, I think the same sort of thing will happen with religion

100% AGREE.

How the f*ck can people believe in religion is totally beyond me, not a shred of proof. Christians actually believe that the made up tosser Jesus turned water into wine and walked on water, i'ts physically impossible but yet people see it as truth.

If i went out in town claiming to be the son of god and claiming i could turn water into wine i'd be branded a loony by the very same people who go to church and listen to the ramblings of a sex pest peado priest.

Rant over.

The above says much about the current state of of our culture, education and values. Expletive ridden, uncaring, prejudiced and foolish. I await the customary staunch defence from
Elanjo, Peedubya et al.

Back to the programme, I've just watched it again and feel I was rather unfair in characterizing the presenter Conor Cunningham as Father Ted. I do wish he had been a little more assertive in his questioning of the various luminaries instead of adopting the role of the nodding silent listener. Anyway, IMO his argument is sound. Here he is being interviewed on the local BBC & sounding a little more confident if anyone is interested.

No, still on iplayer though so might watch it tonight after the tennis. Or i might have to sit failing to study instead. Is it philosophical or factual? Half of my exams will have evolutionary aspects to them so i guess it could be useful.

Johnny, you serve my point.

Earlier in the thread, I mentioned that the dissenters of religion were so eager to denounce it all, yet it seems none of them have been bothered to watch it.

Doesn't science mean to explore all possibilities before it makes a deduction? Wouldn't that apply to all critics of religion, also? Surely it is better to understand some aspect of what you talk about?

There have been many that have laughed at the notion of the Earth being made in 6 literal days. For absolute years, I have always thought that was a stupid notion, also. The programme concurs with my long thinking that 'days', then, in description, are not the days we think of as the norm. I have always thought that those 'days' were meant as 6 Million years, which if we look at it through a POSSIBLE reflection of God's time would translate to 'days'.

There's much more to chew on, if you science heads even bother to take in the programme before it disappears.

Be true to your 'science' ways and investigate, eh...?

Forget about a god or gods ask yourself is there life after death. If there ain't then Darwin is right. If there is then that might have some bearing on how we evolved. Doesn't have to mean a god physically created a human being but simply put in place a situation where evolution would allow for man to evolve. Anyone who believes in Adam and Eve just ain't real and I am a christian.
