Did I hear Right

They did also compare where Aguero and Soldado touched the ball and Soldado was nowhere near our box, pretty much sums up where they were in possession of the ball.

Yes the heat map showed soldado had done most of his work in the centre circle. Kicking off.

I'd like to see the stats before the 60-minute mark. We sat back after the 5th went in.

watched the game again and I would doubt it would be have been much different, what was noticeable was how fast we broke when they gave ball away and how many men we got forward quickly, especially in wide positions. They played 2 wide players but rarely threatened only once or twice did Lennon get a cross in and there build up play was slow and sideways.

Most of our shots were on target. Most of theirs weren't even shots. BBC missed that stat then?

The BBC are just cunts. The in game text thing they do, even propagated the lie that we are still paying Ade £95 grand a week.

that has been mentioned on the BBC and has appeared in several newspapers today

is it false then?

I don't see why people are so wound up about the possession stats, the only stats that matter are goals.
Quality not quantity, as they say! The fact that it could quite easily have been 10-0 if Aguero had been a tad more ruthless is not stretching the imagination.
How many times have we battered opposition away from home, with double figures of shots on target, but come away beaten?

Am I correct in believing possession statistics are based on the amount of time Tottenham are technically in possession of the ball. This includes the time we spend celebrating goals as the clock continues to count and the fact they are yet to kick off is irrelevant, because as far as the stats are concerned they are in possession.

After each goal it must be fully a minute before the game restarts so that's 6 minutes out of 90 minutes (around 7%) time possession they had that counts for sod all.

I heard mention they had more passes also, however this was because they were clueless side to side drivle whilst City were quick and incisive, normally resulting in an effort on goal thus giving Spurs back possession via either a Goal Kick or as happened 6 times a restart from a Kick-Off.

In short, if multiple occurrences of Kick-Offs add to your possession stats then I'll gladly accept less possession than all our opponents.

The stats need a thorough explanation which I have never seen. If a team kicks a ball out for a throw-in does their possession start as soon as the ball goes out, and does it stop as soon as it is thrown in if it doesn't go straight to their man. I think half the stats are made up!

I was under the impression that once we sold him that was it.
