Did I watch a different game to some of you?

The hysteria is bordering on silly here, and that is coming from somebody who doesn't like Mancini at all!
Battle for 4th? Well this is city, we wouldn't do it the easy way!
Chill and put your trust in bobby until the end of the season at least.

Until the end of the season at least? and some......

I don't think anyone needs reminding how long it took the most succesful modern era manager to find his feet......

I agree about the hysteria and Mancini must stay.

Particularly when yer consider his attempts at maintaining the prospects of the Scottish whisky distilling industry single-handed!

I am certainly not gunning for Mancini's head, far from it. I think a lot of people are concerned that we aren't as far advanced as we should be. We have spent a fortune again following on from the 5th place finish last season and, if others win their games in hand, we are back to 5th place again.

Re the game yesterday - we played pretty well. But lost. Again. And in the final analysis that's all that matters. We had three shots on target for all our perceived dominance - the same as United. And people can go on about United being lucky but you make your own luck.

ive got a feeling it,ll more the style of play the players revolt over.
cant be much fun playing dull defensive football, hoping for not to concede
i do think this is the reason tevez wanted away ,and i reckon more will too unless he changes the style

Except most of our team is foreign and will in fact be more used to playing passing football than the English kick and rush tactics.

The big thing I'm worried about is the players always seem to underperform for us. Milner and Barry were outstanding for villa and average for us, Yaya at barca was unplayable and for us blows hot and cold, Lescott was solid for everton and scored regularly, silva isn't as consistent as he was for Valencia, etc etc. We don't seem to get the best out of our players except for Tevez, that's worrying. You could maybe add kompany and Ndj to that but they have always been quality.

Too far in both directions. Silva has been outstanding, Yaya brilliant and getting better, Barry is getting on but had a good season last year, Milner isn't really that good, Kompany, Tevez and De Jong have been absolutely magnificent under Mancini and other players like Hart/Zabaleta/Richards etc are playing better under him than any other managers.

Bluemoon has gone very simplistic and it's for two reasons; money and football manager. This is the real world and things take time. 14 months is not enough, not that we're not a force to be reckoned with at the moment but the difference even from now and in 2 years times will be huge.

For the amount of time the lads have been together i think we are seeing the makings of a good team...no, a great team.

Do you agree that if we played like yesterday every match this season we would be top 2? Or even top?

It's defensive against the better sides but we've battered some teams. Fulham and West Ham were great away days alongside some solid results against Villa or West Brom at home.

Silva has been absolutely magnificent and if he was playing better at Valencia then he must be better than world class , as that is what he is at the moment . Yaya recently has started to produce consistently and offers a threat going forward and can play a very good game in the middle of the park . Barry and Milner are both good players , both do a decent job and the rest of our players are brilliant, some better than brilliant. You are now saying our team underperforms after a very very unlucky defeat yesterday when I think our players did more than perform , as do many other people I have spoken to , including rags. We have had these players for just over half a season , they are STARTING to gel , they are not yet the finished article , if we keep this team and keep the manager we will get the best out of this team and success will be alot more frequent will this club.
