I think it’s more anything from Technique and beyond that I would be tempted to skip if it popped up on my iPod. Does that coincide with the end of Factory?

Technique was the last album on Factory if I remember correctly. The next album was Republic, which was on London Records I think.

I would include both Technique and Republic as being amongst the best of New Order. They never quite reached those levels again after their first break up (though they still produced some excellent tracks on later albums, especially on Music Complete).

I've got a flexi-disc (yes remember them!) somewhere with one of their songs that has the lyric 'every time I hear you falling I get down on my knees and pray'. Good tune, probably got the album off the back of that one

They're my favo(u)rite band of all time and even pedestrian New Order sounds fantastic to me. So glad they're still making music.

Could be, lots of freebies around that time for sure 1982-88 ish. Every publication had them at some point, Select, Melody Maker, Sounds etc

Yeah, agreed. Tbh, I never recall them featuring much in recordfairs or record collector magazine when I used to be into all that, 12” picture discs, Japanese imports and the rest!
(So maybe not so valuable)

Couldn't put it in bluehammers list so abstained out of principle. Utterly brilliant album

Most underated band of the last 30 odd years.

They really are very underrated....
They just seem to go under the radar after all the other Manchester bands.
Not sure why ??

That new single is pretty pedestrian. Absolutely loved them back in the day, but to be honest, they could’ve packed it in after Technique and definitely should’ve after Republic.
