Did the press not listen to Cook?

You couldn't make this stuff up, well actually they do! I watched the press conf again this morning, because I assumed I had missunderstood and it's pretty clear. HayHo I guess this is one way for Cook to get a large part of the fanbase on his side.

If we aren't allowed to fetch our own alcohol into the stadium, why are the press and the Sky twats allowed to fetch their crack pipes into press conferences?
Careful Pam you will turn this into a "smoking at COMS" thread and you know how heated they get!!! I just have this vision in my mind now of all the press guys in a bathroom smoking away on their pipes so they don't get thrown out!

my letter to sky.....

Code:
Dear Sir / Madam

Yesterday I watched the press conference live on Sky Sports where I listened to every point Gary Cook had put forward.

Gary Cook stated Manchester City had looked into changing the manager 3 weeks ago and only offered the job to Roberto Mancini after the Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester City Game.

Roberto Mancini then went on to answer questions from the press where it was discovered that he [Roberto Mancini] had met up with Chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak in London, he [Roberto Mancini] then went on to confirm what Gary Cook had said, in that the position of Manager was offered after Manchester City's game at Tottenham Hotspur.

YET.....

This morning on your Sky Sports News chanel you have reported that Roberto Mancini had contradicted the points Gary Cook had made.

I find it odd that yet again Sky Sports have not let facts get in the way of a good story.

This is one of many, many points in the last few months that have made me come to the conclusion that I no longer wish to fund the lies that you continue to spread, therefore I will with immediate effect be cancelling my Sky World Subscription.

I have no doubt in my mind this will not be read on your programme and will be merely sent to your recycle bin, I just felt I wanted to point out another of your biast reports.

Yours Sincerely

????????????, former Sky Customer

I cancelled Sky at end of September, totally. After one month the 'come back to Sky' letters started. Two weeks ago, they phoned twice, and I got a good offer - half-price subscription for 12 months. I took it. Now I'm quids in, and smiling again. Makes it all bearable...

The tit on ssn was from the mail. He huffed and puffed his way of the set to eat some more mince pies.

Also, he is a rag-tart. Fact.

One reporter yesterday, may have been henry winter asked Mancini about Rory Delap,Mancini said ,:yes i know him ,Given will use these showing his hands.Reporter then said so you won't use the centre halves.Very aggressive journalism and in the future maybe permits should be issued depending on the nonsense that they are allowed to print and the way they conducted themselves.

A pompous fat rag twat on SSN is talking about how there was a "degree of anger" amongst the press yesterday at being taken for fools and Cook better watch out and be nicer to them or he might find himself the next one out the door. It's cringe-worthy, that degree of bloated, deluded self-importance. They are hallucinating. I am embarrassed for them.
Oh come on. You are so deep in paranoia that you don't realise what's going on. Whatever you think of the press there were some serious and heavyweight journalists there yesterday. and they know when they are being lied to. They also have their sources, the same as one or two on here.

It's entirely in the club's interest to promote the line that this is a planned move, in the pipeline for weeks, when it's clear it's nothing of the sort.

Excellent post mate. The levels of paranoia on here are amazing

We aren't used to this sort of thing because we haven't really been here before. Look at the witch hunt against Terry in the red tops every week, Ashley Cole too. Them lot, Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal all get bad press, this will all blow over soon and they'll move onto something else

We're just flavour of the month at the moment, sit back and enjoy it.

why on earth didnt cook just say to the idiots, how do you propose we get a new manager, smoke signals, morse code.

the level of journalism was pathetic, especially hooray henry.

<a class="postlink" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Winter" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henry_Winter</a>

considering they are experts in their field, are they not aware of the process of appointing a new manager.

anyhow who's gives any credibility to what a cockney public school sky 4 journo thinks.

cannot remember seeing him at york away.

I'm sure that City (and our lawyers) will have bought every newspaper this mroning and will go through them to see who has said waht lie, and when the dust settles there will be a few court cases, it won't be the first time.

Its about time a club stood up to them.

For 3 weeks they've wanted MH out, but are now outraged by it. I think Cook could have handled it better personally, maybe 2 press conferences, one explaining the sacking, and the other to introduce RM, he also should also have stepped in when RM was asked when he met the Sheik, to correct the journo, that it was Khaldoun he met 2 weeks ago. In fact the whole 3 days could have been done better for me.

I also hope that whoever within the club that leaked what was going on on Saturday morning wil be looking for a new job soon, because ultimately they have caused a lot of this, I'm sure the announcement would have been made yesterday had it not all been leaked. Obviously Hiddink's agent had an agenda too.
