Did tomorrow just become a must win

defend properly and compete in the air for corners/freekicks and the points will be ours.

2-0 City up to 3rd..

This Wigan team are not a kick and hope team, they can play football, which frankly is good for us and bad for them when it comes to playing us.

Anything less than a totally commited performance and we will come unstuck tomoz. History is not on our side in this game but the reality is Wigan away is almost a must win if you want a top 4 spot.

Under-estimate them at our peril, but focus and we can beat anybody.

Scum win was expected....Bin dippers loss was not...hmm...Liverpool have to win next week to keep any dream alive...Yes we must win tomorrow but we are in a strong position...these teams continue to capitulate around us and top four is ours...personally I think come Jan we might go reinforce to grab the prem title!!

None of the teams competing have a good defence...sadly nor do we...but we have the cash come Jan to spend on areas of need!!

Luton in 83 was a must win game

Charlton in 85 was a must win game

Liverpool in 96 was a must win game

Gillingham in 99 was a must win game

Todays game is not must win by any stretch of the imagination and even the most dramatic of drama queens cannot make it one. Anyone who could treat Wigan away in the 8 th game of the season when we are in the top 5 as must win needs to go and live a little, take a few deep breaths, look how Many games there are in the season and get a little perspective.

winners have the attitude that ALL games are Must win and if we want to build a winners mentallity I am affraid that the argument you have put foward can only be classed as defeatist.

I for one want the team playing with the intensity that all games are must win and I would like to think that the players will start to feel the same pain as the fans for any defeat.

if and when these sort of attitudes become the norm them we will have a side ready to win things
imho

Spot on mate. Winners have a winning mentality. They treat every game like a cup final. That's what we need to create at our football club, which isn't going to be easy after many years of mediocrity.

Our first major aim is to beat last seasons points tally as early as we possibly can.

Its foolhardy to think we can obtain 16 points from every seven games we play this season.

Of course we all want to win and so do the players and any game especially away from home we have to be on the mettle for the whole game to come up trumps.

We don't need to fear or pay too much respect to any side but the onus will be on us to make the running in the vast majority of games we play unlike in the past.

How the players adapt to that expectation from within the group and from without will determine how far we improve on lasts years points tally.

Its not a must win but if we play to our best for the majority of the match we should get something from this game.

We haven't clicked on all cylinders yet for large portions of our game and are 5-1-1 albeit 4 of those wins have come against sides that will be battling to stay in the premiership this season.

I stated in a previous post that each individual game is not a must win, but i've just remembered that i've got a bet running with a spurs mate for who finishes higher. And the jammy sods won again yesterday.

So COME ON CITY
