Did it kill football when it allowed Aguero to retake the penalty?
It neither killed nor helped it really. It just went 'meh'.
It completely ruined Sterling's 2nd though.

Have you ever considered consulting the laws of the game before posting? Yes, it was a shite penalty, but Rice booted it away and he was one of those encroaching so it was a retake under the current laws of the game.
Ye that’s been the rule for years but there was talk of it going dead if he misses either by a save or hitting the post. Not quite, the penalty taker can score the rebound if it is saved and comes back out to him. If the ball hits the woodwork and comes out the penalty taker can't touch the ball without someone else on the pitch touching it first.
I wonder if Rice hadn’t encroached it would’ve been retaken for the keeper coming off his line?Tbh I wasn’t aware it was called back for Rice at the time and assumed it was for the keeper. Once i’d heard it was encroachment it made perfect sense.
Still a crap penalty :-)
No mate i believe VAR doesn't check if the keeper moves off his line it's down to the linesman .I wonder if Rice hadn’t encroached it would’ve been retaken for the keeper coming off his line?
Then how can that be fair then, i5 should be checking it all, if they are going to use it. The linesman didn’t flag did he?No mate i believe VAR doesn't check if the keeper moves off his line it's down to the linesman .
No because that isn't measured by VAR in the PL and Mr Yellow flag didnt raise his flag.I wonder if Rice hadn’t encroached it would’ve been retaken for the keeper coming off his line?
Ok ta, then we will still have bad decisions then, because had Aguero not retook it we would be talking about why linesman didn’t flag the keeper. No because that isn't measured by VAR in the PL and Mr Yellow flag didnt raise his flag.
