Some right bollocks in here. Damocles, I respect you as a poster more than anyone else on this board but you're either acting like a tool or are purposely ignoring my point. I am in no way slagging off Nasri. I like him and was/am delighted we signed him. However, it has been a bit of a conundrum trying to fit him and Silva in the same team and as a result the guy who was our best player for the first few months of the season went off the boil. That ended up with us not playing as well as we were earlier in the season. Nasri has won us games single handedly at times and is clearly a very good player but as a team, for now, we are better off with Silva not playing with Nasri.

This thread was never intended to be antagonistic or negative. It was merely backing up a point another poster made.

Silva's loss of form was more to do with Silva than the presence of Nasri, so I don't agree with Didsbury Dave or Didsbury's Disciple.

Our loss of form was coming weeks before it eventually hit and the signs of it were there from QPR away. Our dip in form became a loss of form the minute Yaya left for the ACN and it should come as no surprise that our return to form has coincided with the return of Yaya.

The whole team (including Nasri) suffered during that period and to put the blame soley on one player is complete lunacy. You and Didders are entitled to your opinions, just as I'm entitled to completely disagree with them.

absolutely nothing to do with nasri, players lose form, even the great ones, it doesnt have to be because of someone else, youre looking for things that arent there

if there is another factor have you considered toures absence, not nasri playing? teams are so scared of toure getting up a head of steam on his runs that he attracts players to him as soon as he gets the ball, but he's then good enough to find the players in the space this attention creates. That player more often than not is Silva.
