Would anyone actually want him?

Me... He has been prolific this season and looked good last year too. He is being linked with Real, Barca and a host of other top teams. You dont get linked with those type of outfits if your "shite" and these teams dont do failure in the transfer market as a rule. If he is available and we dont get Eto'o then I would say go for it, ok he had a bad time in the premier but he was a lot younger and will now have a point to prove in my eyes.
True True some good points there

I just think he has matured enough to hack it here now, the spanish league is much closer to our own than any other and he does well there. If he had been in Italy then I would say dont bother, look at Bianchi! But he hasnt been in Italy and winning the golden boot in Spain with little support around him is a good sign to me. Eto'o came second but had Messi et al supporting him and feeding him the chances. Dont forget also that Torres was the top dog at Atheltico and now it's his time to shine, a goal every 2.1 games isnt shit.

Ye more good points i think your gonna win me over because im not sure if I would want him or not lol. Especially the point about Torres it makes me think that Athletico Madrid dont bother signing shit strikers such as... Torres, Aguerro and Forlan because he hasn't done to bad for them.

Everyone was laughing at him for his goal scoring record when he played for the rags. He was young dumped into the firing line of what many consider the fastest league. So it took him time a long time to find his feet once he did he started scoring. He moved to Spain and the goals got more and more frequent so would be ok signing for me

Thats what I'm saying, if you look at his record it's around a goal every other game. Beats anything we have had before and has a better record than Teves or Eto'o. Plus he would be cheaper too, lol.

Sorry just scimmed through and didn't see your original post! Yes we are both thinking the same!

Don't want Forlan? Why coz he played for the Rags and didn't set the world alight? FFS the bloke has been banging them in from every possible angle in Spain like a possessed goal machine and you don't want him? Some City fans are way ahead of their station assuming we would be lucky enough to get a player of his calibre. After Evans, Benjani and all the other shite we've had over the years i think a reality check is in order for some...

i suppose it wouldn t matter now if we get him and hes crap, then just ship him out and replace him, something tells me he is just after an improved contract with his present club though

Well anyways, this proves we must doing something right at the club because... On ssn it said that he is happy at Athletico Madrid but still is intrested in a move to city.

EXCITING TIMES
