Sign him on a 5 year deal and loan him about for a few seasons. This lad is quality, bossing games in the Championship aged 18.

He's a free agent so we will only have to pay a development fee of £400k.

Trust me, that could be an absolute bargain in a few years.

If I was him I'd not go where my Dad was manager because it's only a matter of time before he no longer is and there could be a chance that it falls bad on his son. Best to avoid any chance by going to Chelsea or City. His Dad would never be far away.

A move to Upton Park has been touted for several weeks after the 19-year-old turned down a new deal at Charlton.

And that deal now looks set to be completed after Poyet added 'COYI' (come on you Irons) to a Tweet discussing his future.

Not seen this lad play but I have heard good things.

I will be interested to see what Sam does with Poyet and Morrison next season, both promising young England players so I hope he doesn't turn them into long ball players.
