i dont think we'll ever know exactly what happened to bring tbh to the club, but it appears he was brought buy thaksin on the reccomendation of Pini Zahavi and co, partly because chelsea would accept a relatively small first-installment. this happened around the same time that the sale of corluka was initially agreed behind hughes' back. hughes seemed to want lucas neill.

Actually no. I was basing it around players available right now as if we had Diego. But now I actually remember Ireland IS available and was just suspended last match.

With this being the case, id swap Ireland for SWP as SWP's first touch is embarrasing lately and needs sorting ASAP.

I must be the only one on here who's not that impressed with Diego.

His style of play just seems so... untidy.

To be honest i've never seen him play for Bremen, but he's never really shone when i've seen him play for Brazil. To be fair though there's some pretty top players who would get outshone by others in that team. I think he might be one of those players who needs to be at the centre of everything, have the team built around him, don't know if he'd get that here.

You might have a point, but I also think he'd get bullied off the ball in the Prem. I think Arsh would be a better prospect, but not by much.

I dunno why.
