Where are "Farmers for Action"?
Do you work at Hannover airport or just live in Hannover?Grolsch30 said:I remember when the lifer of petrol hit the £1 a liter mark and there was a Public and media outcry and demonstrations etc.
At the time I knew this would just be a de sensitisation exercise together the people used to higher prices.
So what happened the price came down again and the politicians basked in the "glory" that they worked wonders for the people to get the Price down again.
So the demonstrations and outcry stopped.
Now, we have petrol over £1.35 a liter and apart from a few huffs and puffs here and there, nothing is done its just tolerated and now just accepted.
I am fortunate to work in a country where we can at least claim tax back from the mileage we do to and from work, so I get a good rebate every year as my roundtrip is a good 120 km's.
In the UK you get sweet FA as a normal worker, and I truly sympathise.

Those pictures are other, cheaper modes of transport. What were you expecting as a reply?

Any farmers on blue moon? I have 50 english pounds waiting for you.

T_Bone said:Good arrows. Everything is transported to every corner of our country by road. Everything is made, shipped out, stored and shipped out again. The cost of hauling all this stuff about is proportional to the cost of how much it is to fuel the vehicles that carry it all about. And that is ultimately paid by everyone, whether you get the shit public transport or not. How long before electric cars are standard?Challenger1978 said:Blue Maverick said:They are getting fucking ridiculous up to £1.43 a litre now, when I bought my car two years ago it was only 90p, people will soon be going to work just to pay for fuel to get too work.
Its only going to get worse mate this time next year I really wouldn't be surprised if it was near £2 a litre. Its bloody crazy and people that don't care don't understand the knock on effect it has throughout the economy in driving the price of everything up.
