I've seen out team go down and come back up. We all have.

How fellow supporters can question whether it's worth going to a game or not, just shocks me.

So why don’t you go if you don’t mind me asking? If it is money fair enough - or work commitments, but otherwise Reading isn’t that far to come surely?

Quick edit. I do understand your pain Kaz. Sometimes I just don't think Pep tells the story right and from what I can gather he does see the CL as a prestigious competition and doesn't always get just how old school city fans are. Bobby manc got us. He completely bought into us as a group of fans. In this particular type of situation I think Pep is a million miles away from us.

He will go down as our greatest ever manager and probably THE greatest ever in the game, but I'll never have the same connection to him as I did Roberto.

I think Pep wants to challenge our thinking as fans.

Mancini knew how to play to the crowd and then tried to use that for his own personal gain.

I prefer Pep and his honesty.

He knows that we don't like UEFA at this point, and he himself has embraced some of our "us against the world" mentality due to our feeling of being so disliked that has gained him credibility of late.

Let's be real, part of this is due to that we haven't had success in CL, but I am also not naive about the costs of multiple games to our more working class fan base. Of course we have stronger feeling about teams in England due to rivalries, media coverage, etc.

I will say that lack of success in CL is hurting our players' reputations compared to clubs that have been farther more often.

I suspect SSN just going off Peps comments in the presser about players claiming they have no injuries. There’s been no official information only news outlets claiming he will be out tonight and some claiming he’ll be out for 2 matches. Fingers crossed
 
If Foden doesn't start this game he should seriously be asking for a loan move in January. KDB out, Rodri needs rest (but probably wont be), B. Silva probably plays on the wing. That means there are 3 midfield spots to be taken by Gundo, D. Silva and Foden. Questions have to be asked if he doesn't start.

At his current rate of minutes he's not going to be ready to take over from Silva next season. Then the club will end up spending £65m on another attacking mid and he'll be in limbo.
