Dinner or lunch?

For kids. Adults at work don't have dinner breaks/working dinners. They have lunch breaks/working lunches etc.
I’ve worked in many jobs and it’s always been called a dinnertime, dinner hour, dinner break or just dinner wherever I’ve been. I always say ‘right, I’m going on me dinner’.

Must admit I've never hear those used before.

I still believe dinner originally referred to the main meal of the day, which used to be around noon but is now, more often than not, in the evening.
