Since he first appeared here in Portugal, a player I’ve always admired for his attitude and, of course, his quality. Rest in peace Diogo e André.
It’s actually thousands, over 20,000 in 2023 in the EU alone. Driving is probably the most dangerous thing most of us do.Hundreds of people are killed in road accidents in Europe every year. We don’t really think about it too much except where it is a family member, a friend, or, as in this case, a well known person.
All football fans will be saddened today at the loss of these brothers and their families will be devastated.
We all send our thoughts, prayers and condolences to the families of the brothers. Stay safe, friends.
RIP Diogo Jota and Andre Silva.
He was one of the opponents I feared most but also admired. What an unbelievably tragic day. When people say “we’re thinking of his family” I think they really mean it. I know I do.Heartbreaking news, Diogo was always a complete pain when he played against us, terrific player. Prayers to his parents and to both of the brothers families.
I have said it before but as someone non-british I find some of the tonedeaf reporting in English newspapers baffling. I am not saying every newspaper is as bad, but the kind of disrespecting tabloid reporting you often see as the norm certain places would have led to outrage and people losing their jobs if someone attempted it in ScandinaviaDaily Mail showing their class once again by posting pictures on their website of the wreck (won’t post here out of respect). 2 men after dying and they’re coming up with headlines like “Jota twist of fate”. That’s actually vile. I’ve not seen that but I’ve read why he and his brother were driving and if that’s what they are referring to then they are fucking horrible.Daily Mail showing their class once again by posting pictures on their website of the wreck (won’t post here out of respect). 2 men after dying and they’re coming up with headlines like “Jota twist of fate”. Bang onIt's especially awful when two young lives are cut short in such tragic circumstances. At times like these, it's important to take time to reflect on how much our loved ones mean to us. RIP.
My exact thoughts too-lets hope the impact killed them before the fire did .Lets hope they didn't suffer.
