direct cup and you get first chance of tickets !!!

Why are people moaning about the cup scheme? Look at last night, hardly a fucker there, as with all the cup games at home this season. Can't be many people signed up to the scheme then can they? So therefor it will go back to points tally.
It's all a ploy for you to tick the box in the summer when it comes to renewing, thus ensuring better gates and revenues at the same fixtures next season.

has the penny not dropped yet ??? for anyone.

This isnt about rewarding any one!!!

lets put it this way, how many will sign up for this next year because of what has happened ??

Welcome to the future plan... we now in effect have the same scheme that we slate the rags for.

No cup scheme, well no ticket for the final no matter how many games you have been to, or how long you had your SC.

The sad thing is the im alright parade are happy because well "their all right" for now.

SWP : your either a wind up, or a fuck witt

This is the way things are going. I sit in Level 2 and am expecting a hefty increase in ST price next season or will have to move.

We are turning into them on the money side of things and it will get worse. The difference is that we have nothing to show for it (yet!)

So we agree with you or are stupid?

Hmmm.

well in your case you cant see the clear motive behind rewarding the cup scheme........ so you go figure.

It's a good motive. I like it.

-- Fri Mar 18, 2011 6:49 pm --

It is a CUP SEASON CARD if you will. This has been explained to you by more than one person. Not all of them nobs like me, but respected Mods such as Gstar and Matty.

You think it is a joke as you lose out. Those that commited upfront think it is good as they are rewarded.

There is no need to repeat the same comment every ten minutes or I have to keep responding.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! IRONY AT IT'S VERY BEST!

Fucking hell, get off your high horse...

Would be ironic if I hadn't followed it up with "or I have to keep responding".

You clearly don't understand irony.

And stop shouting child.

mate, i've been to EVERY single cup game/friendly since i've had my seasoncard.

but cause i'm not in the cup scheme it seems like it doesn't matter.

wow it saves you ringing up, big fucking deal.

does someone not having to make a phonecall to get the ticket, entitle them to get tickets to a semi before everyone else.

half of these cup scheme people don't even go, it's a fact.

the whole thing is a farce.

5000 points? I think not.

Everyone got loyalty points for joining the cup scheme. Can't remember how many. Then those same fans got loyalty points for attending each cup game. Rightly so. Over the last few cup matches 50 points have been awarded for each cup game and will be doubled at the end of the season. Anyone could have bought into the 50 points/double points reward.

Put it this way. If City split the PL and Cup points next season, and cup final tickets will only be available via cup points, watch the demand for Carling, FA EL or CL cup tickets soar.

It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if City did this. There's more than one way to skin a cat.

That would be a great idea, the perfect way to do it imo.

but it is unfair that people under 2000 points can be treated the same as the 6000 +. it really isnt right.

TBH Sniff, no.

People with the most loyalty points get first jibs on PL tickets. Those points also include cup points from previous seasons.

This season some of those people decided on purpose not to attend the cup games because they assumed wrongly with the loyalty points they had amassed from previous seasons and this season, they would get first jibs on the cup final tickets anyway. Wrong.

One of the points of the cup scheme was to reward those fans joining it, if City got to a semi or final, which they have.

TBH everyone will get a ticket. The reward for those fans who joined the cup scheme will be first jibs on the Wembley tickets.

So please stfu & accept that the club are trying to reward the committed fans. Why is that so wrong?

Nowt wrong with that Billy but you are maybe missing a point here. I don't know what the average points per season are but lets say for the sake of argument it's 1500. Someone with a season card for three years therefore might have 4500 points and not be in the cup scheme but still attended all the cup games.
A first year season card holder who joined the scheme with say 1500 points will jump ahead of him in the queue. The difference ...one joined the scheme, one did not. If the club had said joining the scheme would count like this then more people would have joined it, me included..I didn't see any benefit from doing so so did not bother but still saw every home game inc all 3 cups.

Great decision city,i have been to all the fa cup games but not on the cup scheme just incase something made it impossible for me to get to one of the games.
I should get a ticket as i have over 4000 points but not before someone who say has a 1000 points who will get better seats.
Guess being a season ticket holder for over 30 years years doesn't mean a lot.
Its not 31500 tickets going to season ticket holders anyway as the club have plenty to sort out before they go on sale ie hospitality, supporters clubs.

Good post . I have 4800 points , not signed up to cup scheme but have been to every cup game this season, had season ticket for over 20 years. So if we get through to the final ..... less tickets and City apply the same criteria again then loyal fans with season cards thru thick and thin could lose out to someone who signs up to the cup scheme .

Fucking slap in the face ! the future is clear the cup sign up will become compulsory with your season card purchase

so its a good thing that we are going down the same road as the rags ?

because the club are basicly saying, join the cup scheme or no ticket for any neutral cup games.

in that way i think you insane, how can you think thats a good thing.

You know that sign ups next year will go through the roof, so although your not forced like at OT. You wont be seeing any of the big games again.

JRB: i know what you mean mate, and i agree with the idea.

but its not been implemented in the right way for me, and i can understand why people are mad.

So, if you've been to so many games, you will have the points to get a ticket. Sorted.
Or are you upset that you don't get one first?
