As a person with a young lad who has been on the Cup scheme since its launch not this year but last year i think its a great gesture what the club has done here.
A great Incentive for getting people on the scheme for next year as well.
Well done MCFC

its a good idea and i can see why they would reward the fans who have turned up, just would have been better had it been announced pre season.
Bill, could you imagine if the club did it if we got to the finall. Fucking hell this site would explode...

i agree with you mate....but it still doesn't detract from the fact that the club moved the goal post to suit themselves to try and force an issue with the fans...this is wrong

if they wanted a level playing field, they should have introduced this next season with full details in the renewal packs...at least that way people can't say they weren't told

So if you had known cup scheme members would get priority would you have joined?

i probably wouldn't have at the time tbh mate as i was skint and couldn't afford to commit financially

i also didnt join the cup scheme as i was made redundant 3 times last year and only just managed to scrape the money together for my ST renewal...so committing finances when my job security was looking unsteady was the last thing i would do

on top of this i decided not to attend any cup games this season after the last few seasons of trudging to second div clubs for lesser group stage games only to find i couldn't get a ticket for the later stage bigger club games.

fast forward 6 months from then and i'm back on my feet and in a top earning job again, so could probably afford to join the scheme now

as it is i probably have enough points to get a ticket if it filters down to 3700ish.

i think it's a great idea tbh as it alleviates what i said about attending early stage games and not getting later stage game tickets.....just thought it would have been fairer had this incentive been mentioned at the time....that way i couldnt say i wasn't told

I would in hindsight

and even still, joining a cup scheme to get a wembley ticket is a joke anyway.

throws the 'loyalty' system straight out the window.

our club is fantastic, new this new that, facilites investment.

but for the proper fans, lifelong fans who's been there all along are getting treated like shit, the club are shitting on them.

it seems now any bandwagon follower since the money has come in, and now the future and the main priority of this club.

it's a disgrace, whoever has come up with this criteria for wembley are a bunch of tossers.

Lifelong fans will have the points to get a ticket.

New fans will probably have enough points for a ticket.

Take off your blinkers and stop throwing insults about, you can't respond to the many people who shown why you're view isn't 100% exclusively right, so please stop coming in just to post more uninformed lies and a few cheap digs.

Just checked what the scum are doing. Seasoncard and memebrs apply and go into a ballot......can you imagine it on here if City did that!!!!! A first year card holder never been to a cup game getting a ticket, while someone like DeNiro didn't. Now that is a shite system, and something to maon about

that would cause chaos, can't believe they put up with that.

I know somebody who has 2 rag season tickets in their hospitality area, costs over 3k each ticket and they get them for the company as an incentive to take customers on business days out to entertain. She always goes into these type of ballots and always ends up getting tickets (no doubt cos shes corporate). She's not going to Wembley for this game and is probably going to pass them on to another rag I know and his son - been to about 5 Rag games his whole life and all through corporate, never paid once to the best of my knowledge. Talking to him or her is akin to talking to a plank of wood to either of them where football is concerned especially the feeling of City v United. Makes me piss knowing these type of fans on either side get tickets so easily for such a prestgious game.

I agree with you freestyler, is this how they are going to do It for the final? If that is the case, then that will surely increase the loyalty points needed to guarantee one? (AbOve the 4000 Mark say)

Think that's pretty fair to be honest, but I don't know why there's this much bitching. Most people with a ST will get a ticket anyway, and if you don't have a season ticket then what on earth were you expecting?

I can see how people who avoided the cup scheme because they knew that they might miss one or two of the games would be a little peeved, but if you have a season ticket I really don't see it being a problem.

How many non-ST holders will be on the cup scheme, I bet not that many..

just read through half the thread...

why wasnt there this much furoe for games like Middlesbrough away on a freezing December night in midweek when our striking sensation was bradley wright phillips etc

I'm well sorted for a semi (and final if we get there) ticket, but cant help but smile at this thread.

Thanks City for having a system that rewards the loyal fans that go... if you paid your money for the cup scheme, fair enough, you deserve it

For the people moaning on sub 2k points, how many times have you actually bothered to travel more than 10 miles to go to a game?

What was the benefit of joining this scheme before the season? Do you get extra points? (I know you get a ticket for the semi now but surely you didn't know this before the season)

In all seriousness, after the run in the Carling Cup last season ,we did sign up for the Cup scheme . To guarentee cup tickets for the later stages , this is what the scheme has been set up for,the cup run this season not last season or any before . We were paying over the odds for these tickets plus booking fee,as the club were trying to drum up interest and lowered the prices, when nobody had taken up the offer . We felt agrieved at the time, and still do, but it was always gonna be this way .The reason I used to go to away games in the past to build my points up . Incase .
