direct cup and you get first chance of tickets !!!

We're still playing away...anyway, any season ticket holder will get one if they want one.

Technically we're playing at a neutral ground.

You backed down quick...

I guess what we can take for this thread is; if you have a ST it's ok to walk over the CC holders with more points. If you had a cup ST then you don't deserve any kind of priority.

Surely people can see the double standards there?

Either loyalty points rule all (regardless of membership status) or ST/Cup Scheme etc get priority throughout the season/cup run.

Liam, you are like a howling hyena, you lurk around and try and pick on something I say as soon as anyone else does. Grow up.

The difference is that someone on the cup scheme guaranteed their money to City and as City are a business, they got rewarded.

Anyway - I am off down the pub, enjoy your group bitching

Give Liam a proper answer.

Bollocks is it a commitment, a commitment is actually attending all the cup games, not giving your card details at the start of the season.
But by giving your card details you are commiting to go to all the cup games before draws to see who we'll play have even taken place.

What about the commitment of going to all the games and buying tickets separately? Where's the reward for that commitment?

Hit the nail on the head then, it is all about money.

So someone who can afford to go on this cup direct scheme and not bother going to the games gets a ticket over someone who has actually paid for and attended all cup games.

Can't you see how flawed this is?

But why i am suprised? We are customers now and what business gives a fuck about customers?

Do you really think people have joined the cup scheme and not attended when they could?

i know this to be the case

Just checked what the scum are doing. Seasoncard and memebrs apply and go into a ballot......can you imagine it on here if City did that!!!!! A first year card holder never been to a cup game getting a ticket, while someone like DeNiro didn't. Now that is a shite system, and something to maon about

that would cause chaos, can't believe they put up with that.

It should be points and nothing else no matter what kind of card you have. Then true loyalty has been rewarded not all the bollocks.

The "ballot" is bollocks

FFS...but that's not the point, seasoncard holders have always had priority over citycard holders and it's stayed that way for this game.

Cup scheme members have never had priority over anyone for away cup games, but the club change it for this one game.

Double standards? ;)

Yes i am a new user before it gets pointed out, i wont be going to wembley , i just wonder how many city fans didnt join the cup scheme, because they didnt think city would actually get to the semis.

I dont necessarily think the way they have done it is fair for those that have the same loyalty points, perhaps a fairer way would have been to give anyone who joined the cup scheme say a move up to the next level therefore giving them a chance to get there ticket a day earlier ?

Ie 6000 points st holder get ticket on sat along with 5000 point st holders who were members of cup scheme.

that's the point, as far as the clubs concerned you didn't commit. They had no idea if you were going to buy a ticket or not. Let's be honest our cup attendances have been pitiful. Your miffed because you have attended and I don't blame you. Maybe next year a few more who really couldn't be arsed will turn up.

they are using the semi as a proverbial staff to beat the fans with as they know demand will be exceptionally high, hoping there will be a mass of fans clamouring for the cup scheme next year

Check my other posts GStar, there has been a problem in the past with points being added when I received tickets thru supporters club, despite my season ticket being registered with City thru the SC's.

The reason I say it is disgraceful is because they have 'changed the rules' at the last minute!

Had they given everyone the option of joining the cup scheme at the start of the season, with the knowledge those in it would get tickets first, and I never got one because I wasn't in it, I wouldn't moan!

The first point will be annoying but it's not really relating to this subject.

The second i'm with you, ideally City would have stipulated that being on the CS would jump you to the top of the queue for SF/F tickets.

But then with 35/6k ST holders and 31.5k tickets available, then i think City have seen the 25k attendances and thought they'd reward the ones who showed up throughout the run rather than picking and choosing and relying on being 10-20 years older with a longer history of following City allowing them to automatically pick the big games.

I think City have chosen a good time to do this; they've rewarded the people who pledged money up front, they ensured everyone should get a ticket should they want one and they've shown that continued loyalty will matter as well as long term loyalty.

chris, i think the point he was making is not the queue jumping on this occassion...his comment was in regards to bill saying the club should have let everyone know at the beginning of the season so people could make the decision then, rather than using a semi-fianl to force the issue and cream the fallout from it next season.

I can agree with that mate, i'd also hope we fans didn't need that kind of incentive to ensure we turned up.

Loyalty points.

Will cup games attendances improve next year as a result of this? Most probably. Therefore, as a business have City done the right thing? Yep.

can't argue john but its a raggy way of doing it.

Perhaps you should have suggested a way of getting the no shows off the sofa and down to the ground.

Remember the chant - "if your watchin on the telly your a ..........."

Well if you look at it, I reckon there will be 2000 max on the scheme, and the vast majority will have 4k points. I think thats a fairly safe guess. So in reality they would have got tickets and would be middle of the list or above and would have had no problems.

So I doubt it will make much difference to who gets a ticket, but it will make attendences better next season. Job done by City.

And a real raggy way of doing it would be to make cup games compulsory

Stop saying 'away cup game' to suit your point... it's not an away game.
