Dirty City

in yesterday’s press conference the paperboy trotted out the mantra created by Rat boy, Scholes eat et al about City tactically fouling all the time and hoped the ref would stop it.

Pep was not pleased.

Amazingly today’s Times has done a double page spread completely destroying the myth that City are a dirty team and pointing out that United are far worse.

They show that in fact City have committed the least fouls of any team in the premier, that United are the fourth worst in the premier league, that United have committed more tactical fouls in their own half than City and that their disciplinary record is far worse than City’s.

They then point out that these pathetic attempts to influence refs just won’t work any more given the training refs get to be aware of it.

They'd be way out in front, had they got their fucking just desserts, in a lot of their matches.

When you look at the list of individual fouls by player, there's no City player in the top 20. Paul Pogba, however, is 7th= with 48 fouls so far this season. Fernandinho is 34th= with 38 fouls.
Ratboy has had dinho down as the dirtiest player in the prem for 2 seasons now, they are that desperate that they are making things up now,it's so obvious that ole is the dummy and pisscan is the hand up his arse and making him talk,it's classic pisscan's words

You want to look at this one.

They have somehow managed to massage the figures (fouls committed when without the ball/per minute)

We commit more fouls than Cardiff? lol

They have worked it out in a weird way.

Example using a one game season

We have the ball for 80 mins and are without it for 10. In those 10 mins we commit three fouls. We commit a foul every 3.33 mins

Cardiff have the ball for 10 mins and without for 80. They commit 20 fouls so a foul every 4 mins.

Total number of fouls committed.
City 3
Cardiff 20

City commit them at a faster rate when not in possession therefore in this massaged example city are the dirtier team.

That's odd - I used the stats for possession and fouls from whoscored.com and got Arsenal and United as the top two.

However Southampton and Huddersefield were bottom, so not sure why they're so different.

It's still utter nonsense whatever way you look at it. Teams without possession are much more reactive, rather than proactive, so the best teams will always top this kind of table.

It's a fundamental misunderstanding about how football games are played.

It's weird that someone would go to the trouble to make us look bad
