Do they still do Einhorn In Robbies pubs?...Disgusting stuff.

Thank god that stuff went out of circulation.
In all fairness Robbos do a brilliant Creamy Mild.Tastes more like a poor mans Guinness, but the foam sticks to the pint all the way down.
Try it sometime.

I was at my mates daughters 16th birthday party yesterday, I said to him that I was going to buy her two litres of Diamond White cider, a half bottle of Thunderbirds and four cans of Breakers as that what he had on his 16th. You don't hear of those anymore, thankfully.

Ha ha , in my early teens most Friday and Saturday nights involved a litre bottle of Merrydown cider and 4 cans of Breakers . along with an eighth of Lebanese black

-- Sun Jun 20, 2010 11:24 pm --

Really !!
We have lost an enormous amount of Brewerys from all over the North West over the passed 20/30 years.
Must admit that although I do drink mainly Guinness now,I remember a couple of years ago having a pint of Lees bitter which I think was called George Henry Lees ?? Nice pint !!

Chesters bitter was quality and brewed just of Chapel st. That was my first proper pint i had in the Griffin on lower broughton road.

Do they still do breaker nowadays?

To those who mentioned Toby Light,

My local pub Wangies in Eccles sell Toby Light on draught for £1.50 a pint. It's a lovely drink.

Harp (stays sharp...)

You can still get Harp in Ireland. Had many a nice pint of Harp in Belfast...

As for Carlsberg Elephant beer, I used to love that, and last saw it at Netto, possibly a couple of years ago now. I'm not sure if they still make if or if you can get it on the internet, I might have to have a look.
