Tony Pullis could come in and do a better job than Pellegrini because he would tighten us up and our flair players would edge most games. If Pellegrini is still here next year it is because they are waiting for Pepe or nobody better is available to come in short term.

Even if we win the next three games it shouldn't paper over the cracks of what has been an appalling season by our recent standards and for the players we have at our disposal!

Nurse! Nurse! There's an escapee running loose with access to the internet!

Yes.....the Tony Pullis statement was given as a worse case scenario and a bit tongue in cheek as he is a lot of people's worst nightmare as a manager, but he would tighten up our defence more than Pellegrini.

I could tighten up our defence if I instructed all 11 players to stand on the edge of their penalty area and simply kick either the ball or the man as far up field as possible!

Think the problem is your characterisation of this season as being "appalling" smacks of a smacked arse. It's not been a great season don't get me wrong, but nor has it been appalling. It's been at worst a disappointing season given the shit points we've dropped and the underperformance of some of our players.

Anyway it's nearly over now!

We were no better against Spurs than we were for the majority of this year.We were wide open in midfield with players flying through it,crap at defending set pieces and if Spurs would have had their heading and shooting boots on, we would have lost 5-1 and this thread and place would have been in meltdown!

We got away with it by Kolorov having his best game,Joe,Aguero and Silva having blinders, the team waking up and finding some bollocks at last and a HUGE slice of lady luck.

Haha, you just have to smile at posts like this because you would cry if you didn't!

What an absolute croc of shite!

Really?? We have been poor most of the season and dire in the last half dozen games at least with no signs our tactics or organisation are improving.Villa and Spurs should have beaten us and the rags should have reversed that 6-1 scoreline we gave them at their place we were such a shambles.

Oh and if you don't happen to agree with a point of view it doesn't make it a crock of shite mate it is just different to one you hold!

So tell me where this manager has or is improving the team and tactics because i see little evidence.

Any fucker would possibly tighten us up if we parked the bus every week like your man Pulis but thankfully, we are a little bit better than that!

My view of the season isn't a 'smacked arse' view it HAS been appalling.Going out of both cups at home with barely a whimper to inferior teams than us,one, Newcastle, actually playing almost a second string side. We scraped through a pretty weak champion's league group,Bayern Munich aside, by the skin of our teeth. Our title 'defence' has from January been pathetic and our tactics,if you can call them that, have left us so exposed that i reckon a pub side could score against us.Every time a team get a set piece or attack we are a nervous wreck. Other than that it has been ok....lol!

There is no spoiled attitude or smacked arse here either i stuck by them for thirty five years when we won fuck all but that doesn't excuse such a poor season given the players and talent we have in our ranks now.

Not smacked arse at al - just realistic.

Whether the season was "appalling" or not, the view that Pulis would be a better manager is frankly derisory. He has never managed a team in the top echelon of the PL and there is a reason for that.

Does he look like he's sacked?

If Pulis takes ever takes West Brom to the latter stages of the Champions League then I would take his credentials a lot more seriously.

In a later post i did say it was slightly tongue in cheek but who is to say Pullis with this squad couldn't make a better fist of it this season than Pellegrini? He would tighten the defence up and with the players we have he wouldn't have to park the bus to do that.Look at us under Hughes, scoring goals but conceding too many. Mancini came in and got us organised and tightened up the defence and the rest is history.
