Haven't you been reading? He might have some of the best statistics in Premier League history, and has been to the semi finals of the Champions League, and managed Real Madrid and won the English Premier League. But he's months behind "hilts" from the Bluemoon forum who doesn't know how to use a full stop or capital letter, but would be Europe's most successful manager if only someone would spot it.
LOL. It's the modern day disease of thinking that you know better than the well-paid and experienced professional. As ever, I blame the internet for inflating susceptible individuals' opinions of their own levels of 'expertise'. That's why I claim no greater knowledge of football than five decades of watching City and a dodgy amateur career where I managed to play every position on the field without distinction in any. Like it or lump it, MP is one of the top managers in the world and has even been mooted for a return to Real Madrid. He annoys the shit out of me but, then, all of our managers have.

You mean hiltspearce? ;-)

Haha. I've been critical of managers and players of course, and I understand that's what the forum's for.

It's this "we all know" group-think mentality that he and one or two other irrelevant windbags on here use which appears on here from time to time which irks me. The average football forum opinion on anything is ludicrously simplistic, one-eyed, second hand and is usually rooted in profound relative ignorance.

A bit like you then?

"irrelevant windbags" just about sums you up then. Yep, your thousands of posts have no relevance really, just somebody who needs to get a life. Surprised Manuel or the owners haven't called you in personally for advice? You strike me as someone who has never played the game and probably used to sit in the main stand with your flask, moaning your tits off. Then, as if a gift from god, along came the internet and Bluemoan!

Just came across this

Probably been posted on here before but it's a nice reminder that we do have a good quality manager in charge still.
Yes there may be better out there? But he ain't exactly shit, no matter how frustrating it can sometimes be watching.

A picture paints a thousand words.

Very few posts on this forum could be described as having much relevance; other than being opinions of football. I think that at least 99% of posts are not made by professionals from the world of football. Some posters quite obviously have a greater understanding of the game than others and if you have read enough of DD's posts, you will see that he does have a better understanding than the average fan. That doesn't mean he is anything like always right and I have had to explain that to him on a number of occasions but he does at least have some observations that are worth reading.

For the record, I put my self in a very similar group to coleridge; although I wouldn't claim the level I played the game at even counted as amateur; unless that includes Sunday mornings diving into puddles at Hough End. I can't for one moment compete with Exeter Blue's coaching badge backed analysis, for example.

I've got my FA coaching badges too ;-)

The problem with pellers is he trusts his players to much! He is tactically nieve in big games! But he is a good manager you don't land top jobs at madrid and city without being good! What he needs is a really good number 2 next to him a real tactical master!
