Needs to go asap!!! Great guy and will always have a place in our hearts but fucking hell he is tactically clueless!!! Arrogant team selection picking MDM ahead of otamendi and leaving out Fernandinho and playing a midfield two was suicicdal!! With the investment in the summer again that was absolutely fucking woeful and the players and management should be ashamed tonight
Woooaahhhhh.......was Otamendi fit?

Ready to get slaughtered here but I don't think the sole or even the main reason we lost today was because of Pellegrini. Ultimately, three of the four goals came from sloppy mistakes. Sagna losing the ball in that fashion, Mangalas own goal and Demichelis turning his back does not show tactical ineptness to me. The back four were a shambles throughout the match.

The system in the second half was what the fans were crying out for in the first half but the same problems reoccurred. We could have lost by five or six today.
Who picked the team and, presumably, formulated the tactics (or what passed for tactics) for this evening?

Incredible complacency from Pellegrini. Everyone knows how competitive this league is. To leave out the best CD at the club and then leave out our best midfielder shows complacency bordering on contempt.

This squad should walk this league and we are not going to. We may win it but I doubt many of us would put much on it at the bookies.

Klopp has turned Liverpool round pretty quickly. It shows what a good manager can do when taking over from a poor one.

If we have passed on Klopp because we want Pep then he better well be coming. Pellegrini will be gone. We can see he's not top quality, the players know it too. But if Pep doesn't come who do we get?

Who picked the system in the first half?
Pellegrini. He picked the team and can change the tactics and the system whenever he wants. My point was that both the first half and the second half were awful meaning it was not largely the managers fault. More so the players

The game was over before he made any changes.

I like the guy on a personal level, and I've enjoyed the football we've played under him. He is though horribly stubborn, and the number of times he has picked teams with no heed as to how the opposition plays has now reached critical mass. When the team sheets were read out today, there were Blues all around me shaking their heads in disbelief at the prospect of what we all knew was to come. A 6 man midfield swarm (standard Klippety fare) up against Ya Ya in a central midfield two. I called 3-0 to the dippers before we kicked off, the bloke next to me called 4. The decision to 'rest' our best defender in favour of a 36 year old, when a team full of relentless harriers were in town, was merely crass. The decision to omit Fernandinho bordered on actual sabotage. We improved after the requisite changes were made at half time, but in all honesty Liverpool could still have scored 7 or 8. Liverpool away last season, United away, Barca at home, Spurs away, Liverpool at home this season, our record in the big games under Pellegrini is at best poor, and that's becoming the most telling aspect of his tenure. He's good, but he's fatally flawed, condemned to make the same basic mistakes again and again, and for that reason we need to dispense with his services as soon as Pep or Ancelotti shows an interest. He was schooled today in embarrassing fashion. His team, his tactics, his responsibility.

Summed up perfectly there fella and it pains me to say it , he got schooled by a better manager with far inferior tools to work with.

Yaya is fucking past it I'm afraid , Silva please in front of the Ferns when he's fit.

Everyone in the ground could see we were being overrun after 20 minutes , why did MP wait till half time to make the changes ? Otto and Dinho for Mangala and Navas , to give the team a bit more composure and a foothold in the game , MP got it wrong all over the pitch today , for a man of his experience todays tactics and team selection was diabolical , there is no way someone like Ancellotti or Guardiola would make these mistakes with such a good squad of players . Any team from the Premiership would have stuffed us today , the dippers were made to look good , because we were so bad , i will give the dippers some credit for the way they took advantage , but i wouldnt be getting the open top bus out just yet or printing the champions 2016 T-shirts.(As if they would be stupid enough to do that)
