Pelle set up this team yesterday like the opponent would have been WBA in Etihad, who will sit back 90% of the game, 10 men behind the ball, occasional counter danger with long balls, posession would be 70-30 for us etc.

He absolutely didnt give a shit tactically about how this Pool team is totally different from a match like that.

He also had two weeks to prepare for this game tactically, Klopp had the same. I think Klopp spent that two weeks watching our weaknesses day after day and try to come up with a plan. I dont know how Pelle spent the two weeks.

But lot of the times we look surprised and dont understand why we play badly when facing a pressing team. Also we look surprised they press us, like would be something that couldnt have been expected. Instead of coming up with plans for it like take and umbrella when its rainy. We go out there they press us of course and we get wet...

A loss at Juve would be hardly a shock after this, Allegri already beat him once even when he only came for a simple draw clearly.
Lets hope tho Pelle spends this few days with watching Juve and come up with a plan.

Didn't mean to intimate that, he obviously is, and a huge upgrade on Pellegrini, I mean can you seriously imagine Madrid winning the CL under poor old Manuel?

I just wanted to know if there are other options in case Carlo has other plans.
Ah right ok.

The good thing with Carlo is he might want a fresh challenge which rules out Milan, Juventus, Chelsea, PSG and Madrid. Puts us in such a strong position should we approach.

Comparing Bullseye to Pellergrini .

Classic City talk .

You don't get that with any other club.

There was a very angry City supporter

near me yesterday .

He said F off Pellegrini you old pr**k

I'm not a big fan of Pellegrini .

But my thoughts are a lot of that side let him down yesterday .

The problems Pellegrini faces in terms of criticism from City supporters - and the criticism various players get - has been done to death. The guy has never been able to win and, as I have stated before, that is one very big reason why I try to focus on his positives rather than his negatives. Yesterday, we saw his faults exploited to a level that in fact does not happen often. His modus operandi is to try and stick to a way of playing and he does do it for a reason, which you can like or dislike; however, City have consistently struggled against sides that press really hard (it was also the case under Mancini) and with the current squad it is hard to excuse him not picking a different starting line-up and approach for this game, so I won't.

That said, I do think that his players have performed poorly in ways that are not excused by the manager's team selection or tactics so you could say they let him down, again. The first City goal, which the team never recovered from, contained two crucial individual errors that cannot be blamed on the manager.

I suspect that yesterday may have delivered a mortal blow to Pellegrini if the plan is not already to replace him at the end of the season. I just hope that the club is not found to have made a big mistake in not going for Klopp when he was free in the summer. In the meantime, City still have everything to play for and Pellegrini needs to ensure that his team do not lose two games or two league games in a row. The priority in Turin needs to be a clean sheet and he needs to pick a side that is fit for purpose.

I'd say, Viera as caretaker but that transatlantic liner has sailed.

Why is he so stubborn, how can he not realise that his crazy tactics saw us over ran, how can he not see that dropping our best two players this season played a part, how can he not see that Yaya has not got the engine he once had so it leaves us with just one in midfield and one jogging, why can he not see that playing Demi at 36 alongside another central defender who has just been through hell is not a good idea, why can't he just admit he got it wrong.

He will probably get the draw we need. But we needed the three points from yesterday a lot more.

I imagine after being treated so shabbily by Perez and Abramovich those two clubs are non starters. He has said he'd like to coach Roma before he packs up. But yes there seems no good reason he wouldn't come to us.

You talk as if it's a one off result. 11 points from the last 8 games, less points than after 13 games from last season, 2 wins in the last 10 games against last seasons top 6.

On the back of spending another 150m in the summer, if you're happy with that then good for you.
When it's all laid bare it amazes me how people still back him.

Could anybody who still believes he is 'the man' to lead us please explain to me what he brings to the team?

Yep, should have just said to the press "I got it horribly wrong".
