Its certainly looking like that.

We need a massive overhaul of this squad over the next two seasons.

The players we keep relying on are always suspect to injury now and have been at the club for a number of years.

They are also decreasing in number as they get older.

Many of our squad are not good enough any more to be relied upon when we are missing these players.

Their technical deficiencies can easily be made up for by a manager that can get them to play as a team. The majority of Stoke players are garbage yet they looked a good team today.

It is ridiculous that the players we rely on are those bought by Hughes and Mancini.

Expectations went through the roof with our end to last season and start to this one when the reality was we were just on a good run, we aren't a great side, but the run made people think we are.

I also think the manager thinks we are and just thinks he can shove any attacking side out and get a win when in this league, especially away from home, you have to defend first, graft and work for your wins.

This manager has no grasp on that often enough.

Why? Lets blame Brian Marwood too!! Its a bad day at the office. Squad badly stretched now. If anyone is to blame it's Vinnie for putting country before club every time. That's if we are just going to blame anyone we can think of!!!

The +200 million could have been spent better.

He is the one who is mainly responsible for our tranfers.

My expectation is to win everything - my realisation is that isn't likely to happen. I am a grown up so understand that there are good days and there are bad days. I have been following City for long enough to know that nothing is won or lost by December ( League Cup aside ) and I understand the game enough to know you can't be knocked out of any competition before it starts - unless that forms some part of a sanction for previous rule breaking.

You completely misunderstood the tone of my post and amply demonstrate the hysterical reactions on here - we lost a game, we are not playing well, we have loads of injuries and a manager who may not be all that. However we are still in those four competitions and the season goes until may so lets see how it all pans out yeah ? I have followed the blues for over 50 years and believe me I have seen things much much worse than today - always aimed higher and always believed things would improve. I ave never run around blubbing and stamping me feat like a spoiled brat that for sure

Winning and losing are part of the game but losing the way we have against Stoke and Liverpool have a wide reaching stench.
I don't post with hysteria, I'm still living the dream having endured the Swales/Lee era in my youth. My concerns about Pellegrini have been aired over nearly 2 seasons.

As for acting like a spoilt brat, I don't know you so can't pass comment.

Hiddink said that he wouldn't refuse a chance at a top club 2 weeks ago and he had no problem managing Chelsea for 6 months only .

yep the Bayern Fans forums are full of fans calling for Pep to be sacked tonight and for them to appoint Ancelotti as a caretaker until the end of the season - oh no wait - they have a sense of perspective

Pathetic response.

Bayern are one of the strongest sides in Europe, and are rightly one of the favourites to win the CL. They're a well structured and cohesive side of top draw players. They look the part.

We're a squad of top draw players who look and play like strangers. We're a side that has just been easily outplayed by a midtable side.

We've scored less goals than Leceister, conceded more than Stoke, and conceded as many as Watford.

We can all accept the occasional anomaly of a poor result or poor performance, but we're putting them in routinely this season. We're a third of the way through the season and we've already lost 6 times.

We do not look at it, and that is cause for concern, and not at all comparable to fucking Bayern. Who have a manager who looks like he has a clue, no less.

Well said - but this is what we have become - raggish !! The general feeling is of course they would - we are City - why would they not crawl over broken glass for the chance to be treated like our woman to be used until the end of the season and no doubt vilified on here before being cast off like an old coat as we welcome the new Messiah - I despair at how quickly success has ruined some of us.

This post wont be favourable to some, but iMO it is spot on.

Should have been sacked in the summer and I'm now finished with Manuel.the amount of muscle injuries suffered in training is shocking and the squad looks devoid of confidence! Ancelotti now please asap

It's a very fair point, I've followed City since I was 8 (1973) I'm not convinced Mr. Guardiola will come and if he does how effective he will be, BUT given the resources we currently have, we really should be in an insurmountable position in the league at least!

In my opinion we have by far the best squad - injuries or not and should'nt be fannying about looking for excuses as to where we are currently!
