I couldn't give a shit about possession stats to be honest. If that's the case United can consider themselves to be unlucky not to be running away with the league title.

A much better indicator of a match is how many clear cut chances you create. In all of them games we created very little clear chances and conceded far too many.

Yer never win a game of football without getting a foot on the ball! Possession is the start. It all depends on where that possession is. We have a lot of our possession between our goal line and 25 yards inside the opposition half. It produces little in the main. When we have lost I tend to look at possession and then how many corners and offsides we've had. But the creation of chances is the best indicator of all. Shots on target, too, but how many of those shots brought out a goal-stopping save from the GK? This is where strikers going through a drought have little concern if the chances are still coming!

haha the positives we wont beat everton either home or away playing as we are under this stubborn man IMO
I am more concerned about the drain on resources of two high octane semis when we look like struggling to qualify for the CL for next season. At this moment in time, winning a League Cup [decent as it is] is the very least of our worries. The R16 CL games seems completely irrelevant at this point save that some of the players seem to think it's the priority as we can stroll through the league. We can't. This is England and not Spain.

I came round to their view that Mancini had to go due to upsetting too many players. But I maintain that they were still the best team and Pellegrini's light touch enabled them to fulfill their potential again, just. However in terms of building his own team with a lot of money he has in my opinion failed abysmally.

This is pretty much where im at. I thought Mancini had to go and the next season we saw Pellegrini improve squad morale and win us the title with Mancinis team. Since then he has spent millions to mould his own team and made us worse. Our best side still includes Hart, VK, Yaya, Silva and Aguero. The players that Pellegrini has introduced to the team (and I know its not just his fault) have in the main been an absolute disaster, Mangala, Fernando and the rest. He still hasn't rectified the LB issue which has been a problem for as long as I can remember. He still hasn't purchased a top class midfielder that can play either with Yaya or instead of him. He has left us with just three strikers, which is fine when you only play one up front however he has since decided that he doesn't see one of the three as a striker and then left him out of the CL squad, so we in fact have just two strikers, one who is always injured and the other who had malaria in the Summer.

Some like to point to the Prem being very competitive but its only competitive because we are making it that way under Pellegrini. Something that Hart kind of alluded to the other week. He knows that this City side should win this league at an absolute canter but that wont happen under Pellegrini because he has the tactical nous of a fridge. We have a quality of player that every other team in the league would kill for yet Pellegrinis inability to set us up to nullify even the most basic of threats means we give every other team a chance. How many 1 on 1s do we face each game? it is truly incredible and yet he sits there game after game and changes absolutely nothing.

5 losses in 12 games would be bad my most teams standards, for us it is an absolute disaster and quite simply unacceptable. Unfortunately, I dont think he will be sacked because the club has all its eggs firmly in the Pep basket and will coast along to his appointment and in some ways use our poor results to our advantage "Hey Pep, look at this holistic approach. Look at us, we dont just sack managers like Chelsea"!

How does he still not understand how to play against teams that are set up to counter attack us? He just continues to play suicidal tactics with suicidal team selections.

I've been a Pellegrini fan but the act is starting to wear a bit thin now.

What I am most worried about is that Pep gets snapped up by Chelsea and we're left with this fool for another yet

Dzeko was here for 5 years, how can you still not spell his name?

And that's a completely disingenuous comparison because Tevez fucked off for half the season and Adam Jonson, & Milner aren't in the same ballpark as De Bruyne & Sterling arent they?
He is comparing strikers with strikers. We have weakened significantly. Tell me we haven't, go on.

exactly my thoughts as well, especially that last sentence, so true or it strongly feels like that anyway.

Dzeko, Negredo, Tevez, Balotelli. I'd have them all over Bony right now. I'd have had David Villa over Bony.

His playing style doesn't suit us and it will only get worse under Pep.

I could accept his playing style if he took his chances but 9 times out of 10 he balloons his shots to the corner flag or row z. Can't believe he's such a duffer.

He didn't say "The strikers are weaker" He said "the squad" and given that Balotelli was useless for large portions of that season and Tevez wasn't even in the country, I'm not sure why you'd bother comparing them.

strikers wise we have weakened but surely our midfield is much stronger now with the likes of kdb and sterling?
