Interesting RAWK post:

"City seems like the obvious move in terms of what will be available but I think it'd be an odd one to say the least. Not only do you have the frankly preposterous job instability (don't win the league? Yeah, that's you off), but an aging squad not known for their hard work is pretty much the worst possible fit for Klopp and his managing style."

I can't say I disagree with that, either. Hopefully some patience (at all levels) will be shown to Klopp if he does come in.

Any manager being brought in will be tasked with fixing that though right? We know we have to spend, and we know we need to change our workrate.

United didn't stop Van Gaal coming because they had poor players and awful spirit.... they brought him in because they had that.

Teams usually bring in new managers BECAUSE of their faults!

Did anybody pick up on what Klopp said at his presser ''things developed this Morning'' wonder what happened ?

Could be a first, majority of the forum all wanting the same man?

It's because this guy is the real deal. All the criticisms about Pepe can't be laid at his door. All the positives about Pep can be assigned to Klopp too.

He fits our holistic model perfectly. He can use average players and make them world class. His attitude towards youth is fantastic and he is brave in integrating them. He is brilliant for our PR/media image. He has an incredible relationship with the Dortmund fans and the Mainz fans before that. He's a young manager who understands the idea of working in cycles of improvement. He's probably the most polished manager tactically that City would ever have had.

This guy is the one, we should throw everything at trying to get him here. Chelsea are out of running as they won't dump Mou, Liverpool are nowhere near us as an attractive prospect, United have the Dutch Grenade and they'll back him because they're morons who are living in the past in footballing terms, Arsenal have Wenger and unless he personally steps aside which you wouldn't think a man like him will do then they're out of the running.

That just leaves us. A team with large wealth who players won't get sold to other clubs to make ends meet, who have a quality squad yet needs an injection of energy, working with some of the best executive staff in the world at some of the best facilities in the world.

This is a big deal for us. He's the man we need and if he's deadset on coming to the Premier League then we should be pushing the boat, yacht, submarine, airplane, aircraft carrier, Land Rover and International Space Station out to be getting him. He is the perfect fit for everything we are trying to achieve. Absolutely perfect.

You can tell how big of a deal this is for us in that all of the rival forums are legitimately annoyed and/or frightened at the prospect of Klopp at City.

Great post.

Ah, from the depths of despair to immense excitement without even a whiff of confirmation, only City can do that to you.

I will now be gutted if we haven't announced this before West Ham though!
He's staying until the end of the German season so don't get too disappointed.

Already bitter Gooners, Dippers & Rags are sh1tting it, full of the plonkers on twitter making silly comments. Rags are best for it though, they wanted LVG sacked 2 months ago, and will do again when they realise they've spent 250m to play long ball to donkey Fellaini.

Arsenal fans making out they are happy with Wenger, that's because they won last week, next loss and they'll want him out again. Dippers wanted Rodgers out back in Nov.

Hopefully Paddy gets the role now until end of season, then asst to Klopp.

To be fair, if we'd asked in January, if Pellers should stay, most would wonder why you were even asking.
We're all fickle, and three months of bad results will turn any set of fans. Always has, always will.

Sky reporting City not in for Klopp, pelligrini will be here next season, quoting "City Sources" :-(

If this is true then the club has gone mad.

That will be a sure fire way to piss us all off if true

Sky just said, city no interest in signing Klopp and keeping with pellegrini for now
Fuck...

That better be a stab in the dark rather than a press briefing. I'm not convinced Pellegrini has been the root of our problems this season at all but sticking with him when Klopp makes himself available is sentimental mush from Soriano and Txiki at best and near negligence at worst.

What would you expect them to say ?

Just heard that, as you say FUCK
If we keep Pellers we will knock ourselves back years, it's a fuckin shambles, typical City

Of course the club is saying those things! What are they going to say? We're gonna give Manuel a P45 and get Klopp in! Denial is the name of the game until pen has been put on paper. That said I'd rather have Klopp than Pep.

Why people really want Klopp ? We can just wait like 1 year and have a top coach, Klopp is just a bit better than Pellegrini, but he is not even close to Ancelotti or Guardiola level.

I do feel a bit for mp as he will be asked about this every week just as bobby was at the end,he deserves a dignified exit

Me too he deserves a good and diginfied send off......

.....but lets face facts, he's never been right for us, from that first awkward interview from somewhere in Spain to the equally awkward post match press conferences. He is mogadon in human form.

We want a manager that reignites the passion in the statdium , someone who doesn't conform to the norm.... a maverick who will have the media and public eating out of his hand....

They can hardly say they ARE in for him with a manager in place. However, if they came out and formally said they weren't in for Klopp, then it would be very disappointing.
City sources is a little vague though.

Fuck off, Txiki.
