When is the season review meeting in Abu Dhabi? After the USA post season tour probably?
I don't know but can imagine cheeky getting a dozen lashings for his shocking transfer dealings.
That's a piss poor attempt at stereotyping, you could have said stoned to death for the full effect.

I don't think some City fans deserve or respect the owner we have.

yeah, clearly they haven't walked a mile in his sandals.

Well I hope we are viewing all the media City bating with a pinch of salt. I feel we need a real world class centre half, two high quality pressure applying forwards with pace, a real quality and disciplined central midfield player and a l/b and r/b. We might have some of those in the youth set up, but I couldn't quote a player that hasn't already been paraded by the media. Txiki's job is through our lamentable, or deceptively great scouting network find as so many people have pointed out the Messi and Dani Alves types before they get snapped up.

I believe we have tried the intricate strategy of reshaping and tinkering the squad for the past three seasons: Fill in the missing pieces so to speak- a right back there, a midfield player here, we need this, we need that etc, and there have been positives and benefits but for many of the cases, the acquisitions to fulfill those specific objectives has fallen short especially in the summer 2012/2013 transfer window.

This time it ought to be different. No more dily dalying. The targets are clear and we have to go after them with aggression and intent because the club is in a very in crucial point now and the players Txiki gets in may more or less dictate where we go in the future. So we have to go after the genuine quality star players first and foremost as a priority then we know where we stand afterwards because what we need is genuinely gifted players that will lead the club in the future and hopefully some EDS players can also step up as well and there are many reasons to suggest one or two will do that.

I will be looking forward to another hundred pages of people back tracking in a few months time. Just glanced through this thread and we have some right melons on here

I'm impressed with the aggressive way we are initialising our transfer activity this summer, with the gloves off. We are clearly saying to the competition 'you can't compete with us so step aside' a little bit like we were pre-FFP. Obviously we have yet to land our targets so there's no point slapping Txiki on the back just yet, but I've got a good feeling about the way we are going about our business. Let's see how well we do shifting the likes of Nasri, Navas and Dzeko, too. I'm hoping to see reasonable fees and nice clean exits.

I like the fact that we're trying to get our targets early. Hopefully we will set the bar early in the market, get high bids on the players we want and then blow the others out of the market. If we land our reported targets then Txiki will have done a fantastic job, if we miss one or two I hope our plan B targets are of a similar quality.
