Disgusting...

It was always going to be a tricky tie and, if truth be known, I was happy to come away with a draw but there is no excuse for sitting back on a lead like we were a third division side away to Chelsea or United. We are better than that, surely.

If we'd have carried on playing in the positive manner of the first half, we'd have won at a canter and this discussion would never be going on now but the manager decided to sit back and settle for what we'd got. I'm sorry but that was tactically woeful.

It's a tactic that I firmly believe is going to destroy our hopes of silverware when, with the squad at our disposal, silverware is very much there for the taking.

Yaya, Silva, Balo, Dzeko.

I think we were makeshift today because of injuries/needing to give players a break because of xmas, and i think we will naturally be more fluid and attacking with those players back.

It doesn't help when those with attacking responsability don't turn up and the defensive lot play like a bunch of amateurs, that came down to the players not performing today.

You are right. It did not help and we did miss those players, however, it was our choice not to pick them. The bug-bear is though, the team we had out would have won if we had not retreated into our typical defensive shell after half time. If there are any complaints from RM about too many games, his negativity is the only reason that we are playing a week on Wednesday.

for real?

you think Joe Hart fucked up... and AJ/NDJ missed sitters... because we'd moved to three in midfield?

Stevenage Borough 3 - 1 Newcastle.

What fucking division are Stevenage in? Newcaste weren't good enough.

Arsenal 1 - 1 Leeds

Arsenal were all over us not too long ago, Leeds are 2 divisions lower. Arsenal were not good enough.

Leicester 2 - 2 Man City

1 division lower. We weren't good enough.

Summary:

Shit fucking happens.

We weren't good enough and to be fair, Leicester had a cracking game.
It's the FA cup, and upsets happen all the time.
We had far superior players, but sometimes that really means shit all. Bad day at the office for most of the team, and a rare good game by Milner!

It wasn't really our choice not to pick those players. Balo and Silva are both injured, and Dzeko was ineliigible as we didn't sign him in time to be registered for the game.

We only chose not to play Yaya from that list.
