Hows the shoulder now mate- I've had three dislocations - make sure you work hard to build the strength up in it or you'll have problems for life!
thanks for asking mate, still in pain but as you will well know not anything like the original pain when it popped out,the people i have spoken to have said the same as you as regards to getting the early work in to rehabilitate,i'm off to see the physio in 10 mins,i'll do as much as i can to make it as strong as possible and hope it doesn't pop out again

mate im a expert in dislocated shoulders... done it 5 times and now had a op on it... if i was you id attent physio as soon as your able to move it... otherwise it will happen again, 1 of the times i did mine was strecthing for a drink on the table... it just happens

Tell me about it- my 2nd dislocation was putting my arm round my then girlfriend on the sofa (and no she was not a fatty before you all pipe up!)

on saturday, fell off a roof.Anyway the bloke across the road from the house came over and said he would take me to hospital, quicker than an ambulance! got to the hospital and after getting all my personal info the lady on A an E reception asked if i was allergic to anything,i gave my usual answer of 'just Man United' haha hilarious i know, the fella who brought me then says he wouldn't of brought if he knew i was a blue,to cut a long story short this kind Man United fan stayed with me all through my 3 hours in hospital at my bedside holding the gas n air and couldn't do enough for me,they are not all bad are they, its restored my faith in human nature!
No way was he a true vermin fan. Hope you're on the mend soon.

You went to A&E? Soft sod! Pop it back in and get on with it!
haha,i did try but didn't know if i was doing it wrong and didn't want to end up looking like Peter Beardsley, leave it to the experts is my moto

Hahaha! I'm going to think of that every time I hurt myself in future. Glad you're on the mend, mate. There are some decent United fans about, although I can only count them on one hand.

thanks for all the concern over my shoulder injury,it brings a tear to my eye! anyway the physio was very impressed with the improvement in what is just 6 days, told me to keep the sling on for 2 weeks then start doing some exercises, the ligament and tendons need a couple of weeks to mend and then the work begins.I'm fucking off to Santorini on tuesday so gonna relax and then do some swimming and light exercise next week.On a seperate note when i went to the fracture clinic on thursday morning i was amazed to see how many people there was in the waiting room,a hell of a lot of clumsy cunts in Bury!

In Djibouti a while back with a Royal Marine. He said he could lick his own elbow.

I didn't think that was possible and bet him a beer he couldn't.

He promptly thrashed his arm about and before my very eyes placed his tongue firmly on his elbow.

In an act of perverse suffering he disloctaed his own shoulder in order to get his beer.

I bought him his beer and continued with a great night in a very peculiar and strangely, very expensive part of the world.

Just done my right shoulder for the 2nd time :-(
1st time was 10 years ago, pushing the kids on a big swing contraption at Crocky Trails, in the middle of a field - owner had to drive out and literally pick me up off floor.

2nd time was… over extending playing badminton.

1st time was really painful, I stumbled down a hill as well..which didn’t help.
2nd time was not so painful, but maybe I was used to it! Still 5 types of pain relief… thanks to wythenshawe A&E this time.

The perils of being hypermobilic.

6 weeks of doing sod all. :-(
No more swings, no more badminton.
