Ditching Sky

I was moving to Virgin before Xmas but in the end I have done a new deal with Sky - with a view that by 12 months from now I will be able to better understand how to fuck them off. I have an Nvidiea box for football already.

My bill was £143 each month - including Broadband, much more than most I see on here so I must have gotten something wrong in the past.

£98 per month now for the same deal. I was careful to be clear that my reason for leaving was that I simply could not afford it - financial hard time and all that. I was recommended to do this by someone that had heard, from a Sky employee, that this approach gets a better hearing than the - I have been offered £x by Virgin etc. Seems to have worked

As I mentioned on this thread months ago, a friend of a friend fitted me a 'skybox' for £110. I get every channel. A mate of mine says a chipped Firestick can be bought for less than £40.
If Sky wasn't so greedy, I'd still be subscribing. Been 2 n half years since I got rid, won't be ringing them any time soon.

They said that I have 'everything' - although not on Q. There are also 2 multi-rooms as I have 3 boxes and then have 3 'magic-eye' connections so I have 6 TVs in total connected.

I used to have BT but cancelled that now that I can watch city games via BM. Plus I have their Broadband. Actually - I will sign in and check.............. It was actually £141 not £143 - I must be wasting money somewhere
