Your post backs me up, living together you dont have all the same rights , say for example you are not married and your wife has an accident then her parents get to make the decisions on care , by law they are next of kin

With all due respect, perhaps go back and read your original comment as that isn't what it suggests. What was it someone said recently about 'English comprehension'?

Yes. There are so many differences on property, inheritance, finance etc.
On your example you are not next of kin so the hospital may not even give you info or access.
Cohabitees should make wills and draw up a cohabitation agreement.

The laws need to catch up with living together , so many disadvantages to navigate , a will is essential
