What planet are you on? Lawrenson certainly does.

Sad to see Lee leave - probably the best pundit the beeb have - still the rumour is that he is leaving to front BT's football coverage from season 2013-2014 onwards.
Lawrenson predicted us to win all but one game in the whole of last season. He rarely has anything negative to say about City.

He obviously doesn't like Mario, but as far as the club goes he's fine.

To be honest there have been numerous occasions where both have had ponitless jibes at both ballotelli (shearer in particular) and us in general (Lawrenson).

I do rate Lee Dixon as a pundit, but I don't really have a problem with Hanson, Lawrenson or Shearer. I do think they are a bit hard on Mario, given his age and his goal to game ratio, but his other behaviour kind of attracts negative comments really.

our only defense when it comes to Hansen, Shearer and Lawerenson slagging City (and Balotelli) off.
Oh Well.

End of pointless post!

Dixon was the only pundit at the BBC with any kind of knowledge of the modern game.

His analysis was always spot on, and given the time and technology he could analyse a game just as well as current fans favourite Rat Boy at Sky.

Hansen and Shearer just prattle on about "terrible defending" and "great centre forward play" with absolutely no insight in to the game whatsoever.

The only reason Hansen is still getting away with it is because Mr Men books can sound like great works of literature when read aloud in a Scottish accent. The accent carries gravitas even when what they are saying is absolute nonsense. How else could you possibly explain Craig Burley having a job in football?

He's replacing Gareth Southgate at ITV once he becomes FA technical director.

Think Dixon got fed up of being bottom of the pile:

People are very very sensitive on here when its comes to pundits talking about City.

Lawrenson is predicting Utd will win the Premier League next season, with us second, Arsenal third and wait for it.....Liverpool fourth!

I knew I'd catch you out eventually

Was it my indiscriminate use of the word "Wycombe"?

I was wonderin'.

In the grand scheme of things the coverage MOTD give us is the least anyway, the broadcast minutes we get on the Beeb is bottom of the pile behind SKY, ESPN, and ITV (as they will cover us in the Champions League and FA Cup)

If Dixon has gone to ITV he'll back us on there, and I don't mind Lineker and will just ignore Hanson.
