Do the majority wish us well?

Why anyone would wish a competitor well is beyond me, at this point it's still unclear at what level you will be competing, it takes more than players to make that jump, it's lucky we had Mourinho who was able to transfer and encourage a huge weight of expectancy, and was adamant that we win the league, right then rather than down the line...
Until everybody surrounding City become distraught when you draw games, and suicidal when you lose, until the expectation levels are raised to that extent you'll probably struggle to get close to the top 2 and it'd be hit and miss for you to break the top 4.
I don't wish you well as such, but it'd be good if say, for instance, you finished below us (CFC the Champions) and above United and Liverpool.
