Do Trains Reverse?

Sticking a train into reverse is a big no no.

The correct procedure is to get permission to set back and then to change cabs in order to do so.

It would seem the driver had a special stop order to stop at Watford Jun but forgot until he saw the crowds on the station, he then followed the correct procedure. Yes he will have action taken against him but the sad fact is some twat who has never driven a train will be the final judge as to his punishment.

Indeed.

As a rep I've done numerous disciplinaries where a case has been brought by a bean counter, rather than someone who's done the job and understands the issues with it.

There's a lot of people in positions who don't work on train and think we do fuck all. They put more and more pressure on train crew to maintain performance.
 
In short trains can reverse. A gaurd will stand at back of train and radio to the driver the stop point. They would of radioed into control to make sure the line was clear for the proceedure. They would of got a bigger bollocking for missing a designated stop and not reporting it..... very sad to admit to being a train freak back in my younger days :/
 
Was funny on the platform before the train flew by. All the players had to walk through the city fans and got mobbed.
Not sure they enjoyed it!
Was thinking what it would've been like if we'd lost.

I thought it odd (ie a bit risky) that our £'s million of football talent travelled back this way.
